Take your plumbing and gasfitting career to the
next level
Are you working or about to start working as an
apprentice plumber and gasfitter but want to increase
your knowledge and skills? The Certificate in Plumbing
and Gasfitting makes it easy to combine study with
your apprenticeship, and has been specially designed
to allow you to apply what you learn to your real-world
environment.
You’ll develop and further your understanding of the
requirements of the trade with a comprehensive mix of
theory along with practical learning. Material science,
underpinning trade principles such as those relating to
combustion and trade knowledge are incorporated with
practical components including pipework, roofing and
cladding systems, heating and ventilation, domestic,
commercial and industrial gas systems, foul water
systems, building construction and service integration,
pricing and quantity estimation, interpretation of plans,
hot and cold water systems, fluid flow technology and
first aid.
Our purpose-built training facility features the latest
equipment including a state of the art gas lab.
We’ve arranged the programme into two-week block
courses that take place three times a year, so you can
continue to get on the job training as an apprentice.
Stage one credit recognition is available if you’ve already
successfully completed an approved pre-apprentice
On graduating you’ll gain a National Certificate in
