This Japanese martial art shows both<br />

power and grace. It is characterized by the<br />

grandeur <strong>of</strong> its sweeping movements <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Naginata, a Japanese sword on the end <strong>of</strong><br />

a six foot pole. This art is for people <strong>of</strong> all<br />

ages interested in either competitive fighting,<br />

or in the physical beauty <strong>of</strong> choreographed,<br />

practiced movements called kata.<br />

learn to identify, avoid and de-escalate<br />

potentially dangerous situations. While<br />

refining on skills learned from beginning<br />

class, students will start learning joint<br />

locks, pressure points (adults only) and<br />

weapons. Prerequisite: Graduation from<br />

the beginning class, or age 13 and above.<br />
