Each winter join the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Bellevue</strong> for<br />

an environmental training program that<br />

teaches our <strong>City</strong>’s community members<br />

about the area’s ecology, hydrology, geology,<br />

wildlife and cultural history. This training<br />

program is FREE, with a commitment <strong>of</strong><br />

100 volunteer hours spread over 2 years.<br />

THE ECOLOGICAL HOME<br />

Although most <strong>of</strong> us didn’t build or buy<br />

a green home there is a lot we can do to<br />

make our home, apartment, or condo<br />

more ecologically sustainable. Join a<br />

Mercer Slough park ranger to learn some<br />

simple ways to make your home (both<br />

indoors and outdoors) a more sustainable<br />

place. We will focus on simple and<br />

inexpensive methods. The ranger will be<br />

available afterward to lead a brief tour <strong>of</strong><br />

the Environmental Education Center - a<br />

Gold-Certified LEED facility.<br />
