The Business Privilege Tax is a 1 mill tax on the gross receipts of a service business, trade, or profession in the City.
The Business Privilege Tax was originally levied at the rate of 6 mills. It was lowered to 2 mills in 2005 and 2006. In 2007 through 2009,
the rate is lowered to 1 mill and this tax will be eliminated in 2010.
