They may occur in childhood or adulthood. There are many different types of muscular dystrophy: Becker muscular dystrophy Duchenne muscular dystrophy Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy Myotonia congenita Myotonic dystrophy Negligence Over-correction Pain and discomfort Participation model Person centred approach Physical restraint Positive approaches A failure to exercise reasonable care and skill to avoid foreseeable harm by someone who owes a duty of care to another. A response which is disproportionate to an event and does more than is necessary to restore a disrupted situation to its original condition.
