Preparation Program for new & expectant parents
held monthly on the 2ND Monday of the month
at 7PM in the Parish Center. It is mandatory for

RCIA
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a program that
prepares adults to be received into the Catholic
Church. Persons who complete the program receive
the sacraments of Baptism (if not yet baptized), First
Eucharist, and Confirmation. The program starts after
Labor Day and continues through the following
spring. The program is also for Catholics who have
never received the sacraments of First Eucharist and/
or Confirmation. For information, please call the
parish office.

The following School of Liturgy training

Registration for all sessions begins at 8:30 a.m., with
training sessions running from 9 a.m.—3 p.m. Please

HISTORY OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
Fr. Kantz will facilitate a class on the History
of the Catholic Church. The class will start
on Thursday Sept 22. It will be offered twice
on Thursdays: 11AM and 7PM. It will be
held in the library of the Family Faith
Formation Center. Each class will start with a 30 minute
video and conclude with a 30 minute discussion period.
Students will be provided extensive supplementary
materials provided by Fr. Kantz. Interested persons are
invited to simply come to class. No "registration" is
required. If there are any questions, please call the
rectory staff who will relay them to Fr. Kantz. Page 4—635

INTERESTED IN BECOMING CATHOLIC
Holy Angels Rite of Christian Initiation program for
2011-2012 will have its first session on Sunday
September 11 at 12:30PM in the lower level of St.
Patrick's church. RCIA is the program whereby adults are
prepared for baptism, and baptized non-Catholics are
prepared for reception into the Catholic Church. This can
also be one way for baptized adult Catholics who have
not made their other sacraments of initiation to do so. If
you would like more information, please contact the
Rectory.
SCRIPTURE STUDY FALL 2011
The Fall Scripture study will begin
Wednesday, September 21 st at the Parish
Center. This year’s topic will the 2 nd Letter of Paul to the
Corinthians and will consist of seven sessions. The
sessions will continue on Sept. 28, October 5, 12, 19, 26
and November 2. Meeting time is from 7:00 pm to
8:30pm.
In the Spring we studied 1 st and 2 nd Thessalonians and
1st Corinthians. We will continue with the 2 nd Corinthians
Epistle of Paul. Even though you may not have attended
a prior session of Paul’s Epistles, you can join the study
at any time, including the study of this epistle.
Again we will use the Collegeville Little Rock booklet that
contains the text and the commentary. As in the past, if
you cannot make each week, you can do the work at
home and resume contact with the group as soon as
possible. Cost for the materials plus shipping is $15.
Please do not let lack of money prevent you from signing
up. Just let us know. For those of you who attended the
Spring session on 1 st Corinthians, you already have the
text and commentary that you purchased in the Spring.
You will not have to pay for another commentary (unless
you lost it); only the Study Guide. Please notify me
anyway so I can order the correct amount of Study
Guides.

YOUTH NEWS
Sept 18—Opening Jr. youth group mass
hosted by 7 th and 8 th grades of our parish. We
are looking for volunteers to learn how to be a
part of the Mass liturgy. Please contact Nancy Curtis
Pegues at nancycurtispegues@comcast.net if you are
interested.
Sept 18, 7pm-8pm—Junior Youth group will be hosting
our 1 st meeting in the parish center following 6pm
mass. Hot Dogs and ice cream will be provided.
HOLY TRINITY SCHOOL NEWS
First, we welcome our new principal Dr. Kevin Laughlin,
Pre-K teachers Ms. Lara Cahall & Ms. Candice Kennedy,
and our new Pre-K aide Mrs. Linda Kohler. Mrs. Lori
Marinari will be continuing with the Pre-K program as well.
We also welcome to our family Ms. Stephanie Schiavo
(1 st grade), Mrs. Kristin Bobrowski (5 th grade), & Mr.
Matthew Tornese (7 th grade).
The first day of school for students in grades 1 through 8
is Tuesday September 6 th . We will begin the first week of
school with full days this year. Kindergarten students in
group A report on Tuesday 9/6 & group B on Wednesday
9/7. Kindergarten group A & B will report on 9/8 & 9/9.
The students will be attending a memorial liturgy at Holy
Redeemer Church on Friday September 9 th for the 10 th
anniversary of 9/11. Our principal Dr. Kevin Laughlin, who
is also a deacon, will be the celebrant.
The Extended Day Program will be located in the main
building beginning the first day of school. Please
remember that all students must be registered for the
program & the registration fee paid before they may
attend.
The hot lunch program will available to students in grades
pre- k – 8 beginning the first day of school. Please have
your child bring money to purchase lunch as pre- ordering
is no longer available. The main meal & snack is $3.00,
bottled water $1.00, juice pouch $.50, snack only $.50.
Your child may also pack a lunch if that is their
preference.
Please remember to call the office for dismissal changes,
the nurse {384-6070} to report a student absent, & to e-
mail Mrs. Montague for registration, events, lunch etc.
The bookkeeper Mrs. Daniels will be located in the main
building in the administration office effective the first week
of school.
Crafters/Artists Wanted!
Holy Trinity Regional School will be holding a holiday arts
& crafts fair on November 5 from 9am to 3pm in the
school gym. Tables are $30. Unique items perfect for gift
giving are wanted.

REVISED ROMAN MISSAL
On the first Sunday of Advent, we will implement certain changes in the words said at Mass, either by the priest or the congregation.
To prepare you for these changes we will put a short explanation of the changes in the bulletin each week for 26 weeks.

In the Nicene Creed, we say, “I look forward to the resurrection of the dead.” This is a core tenet of our Christian
faith, and it flows from our belief in the Resurrection of Jesus. Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the power
of the Father, we, too, will be raised on the last day. For Christian believers, death is not the end, but rather the
beginning, the gateway to a more abundant life. At the resurrection of the dead, the parousia, our whole being—
mind, body, and spirit—will be raised, and we will stand before the Lord. The Resurrection is a great mystery. As
Saint Paul says, “we will be changed. For this perishable body must put on imperishability, and this mortal body
must put on immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:52–53, NRSV). Trusting in the promises of our good and loving God, we
can contemplate death without fear, and “look forward to the resurrection of the dead.”

POLISH FESTIVAL
The Little Servant Sisters of the Immaculate
Conception will hold their 43rd Annual
Country Fair and Gala Polish Festival on
Sunday, September 11 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on their
Convent grounds, 1000 Cropwell Rd., Cherry Hill.
Homemade Polish, Italian, and American food will be
served, along with potato pancakes, hot dogs, cold beer,
and Mr. Softee ice cream. Authentic Polish arts and
crafts will be on sale. Amusements will be provided with
games for adults and children of all ages. Entertainment
includes the Dennis Ostopowicz Polka Band, The
Ambertones Polka Band, DJ Andy Citkowicz of WPDQ’s
Polka Party, and the PKM Dancers. Admission donation
is $4 for adults; free for children under 13. Free parking
is available at Beck Middle School and Cherry Hill High
School East, with a shuttle to the Festival.
Funds raised from this event will be used to support the
education and training of young Sisters for their American
Ministry in the teaching and health care fields.
