<strong>Holy</strong> <strong>Angels</strong> <strong>Parish</strong> will host a <strong>Parish</strong> Carnival on<br />

May 31 to June 4 at the St. Matthew School<br />

Grounds. Save the dates and come join us for a<br />

fun week of rides, games, great food, and<br />

entertainment.<br />

We are looking for eager volunteers who would like<br />

to help with the following committees: Trailer<br />

Captains (Games); Prize Committee; Food &<br />

Beverage; Entertainment Chairman; Advertisement;<br />

Sponsors; Ticket Sales; Raffles-50/50; Set Up/<br />

The next sessions of the Spring Scripture<br />

study will take place on Tuesdays, March<br />

29, April 5, 12 and then return to Wednesday on April<br />

20, May 4, 11, 18, 25. Meeting time is from 7:30 pm to<br />

STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION<br />

“Jesus said to her, ‘Give me a drink.’” (John 4:7b)<br />

How often through our lives does Jesus ask us to<br />

give Him a drink Remember that Jesus lives in every<br />

person who is physically hungry and thirsty and also in all<br />

those who thirst for compassion, love or care. Mother<br />

Teresa was motivated in her work in Calcutta by two of<br />

Our Lord’s last words as He hung on the cross. “I thirst” –<br />

John 19:28 Sometimes it may be difficult for us to give<br />

the drink that Jesus asks from us. Yet, can we really<br />

refuse him our Stewardship by not sharing our time,<br />

talent or treasure to relieve Our Lord’s thirst in this world<br />

SPRING MUSICAL PERFORMANCE<br />

<strong>Holy</strong> <strong>Angels</strong> <strong>Parish</strong> Performing Arts Program<br />

will present a Spring Musical, "Winnie the<br />

Pooh" on April 7th and 8th at 7pm and<br />

Matinees on April 9 and 10th at 1:30pm. The<br />

play will be held at St. Matthew's Hall, 1210 Hessian Ave.,<br />

West Deptford. Reserved seats are available for $5.00<br />

Today's Gospel helps us to recall our own<br />

Baptismal Day. During the classes this week,<br />

our children will share their Baptism, Church,<br />

and Priest or Deacon who baptized them with<br />

their class. This would be a great time to bring<br />

out pictures or memorabilia and share the Baptism<br />

experience of all persons in the family....Parents, Siblings<br />

and Grandparents, too!!<br />

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL<br />

Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministry is<br />

looking for adult volunteers to work with<br />

leadership to run the Vacation Bible School for the<br />

children.<br />

The Vacation Bible School will be held July 25 – 29,<br />

Monday to Friday at 9am–12 noon. The program<br />

services children ages 4 through grade six.<br />

The deadline for signing up for this ministry is Sunday,<br />

April 24. Even if you can volunteer for only a day or so,<br />

Next week, our parish will take up The<br />

Catholic Relief Services Collection. This<br />

Collection supports six Catholic agencies<br />

benefiting millions of vulnerable, displaced,<br />

and impoverished families and individuals<br />

around the world. From direct humanitarian service to<br />

helping victims of human trafficking and working to reunify<br />

families, the funds from this Collection make a real<br />

YOUTH NEWS<br />

Live Station Practice will be held Sunday<br />

evenings from 7pm-8pm in the <strong>Holy</strong> <strong>Angels</strong><br />

The Junior Youth Ministry will be performing Live Stations<br />

bedding, handbags, toys, and shoes on April 2 from 9<br />

a.m. until noon. Please place toys and shoes in separate<br />

CROP WALK<br />

The annual CROP Walk to raise money for the<br />

food needs of Africa will take place May<br />

22. This event is supported by the Greater<br />

Woodbury Cooperative Ministries. Twenty five<br />

percent (25%) of all money collected will stay<br />

in our area to help our food Pantry.<br />

The event consists of a walk on Sunday afternoon from<br />

Mantua Methodist Church in Mantua to St. Stephen’s<br />

Lutheran Church in Woodbury. Participants are asked to<br />

get sponsors and/or make a contribution. The concept<br />

comes from the fact that in many African villages, families<br />

have to walk a significant distance every day simply to<br />

carry water to their homes. Obviously the monies<br />

collected are used to improve food and water supplies for<br />

people in Africa.<br />

The CROP Walk gives us a chance to work for a social<br />

justice issue, and in the process get some healthy<br />

exercise. If you are interested in participating in the<br />

The Hispanic Family Center has opened an<br />

office in Woodbury to serve the residents of<br />

Gloucester County. We have offered the<br />

Low Income Energy Assistance Program<br />

(LIHEAP) since November 2009. We can file an<br />

application electronically to the State and determine if a<br />

household is eligible to receive a credit on their utilities.<br />

program on behalf of the State of New Jersey for<br />

HELPING HANDS<br />

Helping Hands of the Greater Woodbury<br />

Cooperative Ministry (GWCM) will have their<br />

service day on Saturday, April 9 at 9:00 AM.<br />

Volunteers from the eight churches in<br />

Woodbury perform services for the elderly or<br />

disabled, such as raking leaves, trimming bushes,<br />

cleaning gutters, cleaning windows, and minor repairs.<br />

The group meets the second Saturday of the month at the<br />

Presbyterian Church kitchen at 8:30 AM. Work is finished<br />

by noon. If you have persons who can use this service,<br />

or if you would like to volunteer, please call Jerry or Jean<br />

Washko at 845-6944. If you are interested or if you have<br />

persons who need this help, call now so preparations can<br />
