PRAYER FOR FATHERS
Father, it is Your Commandment that we
should honor our fathers; hear the prayers
we offer You for them. Grant them many
years on earth and keep them in health of mind and body.
Bless their word and all they do. Give them back a
hundred-fold whatever they have done for us. Inspire
them with Your love and help them to fulfill Your holy law.
One day, may we be their comfort and support, so that
having enjoyed their affection on earth we may have the
joy of being with them forever in Your home in Heaven.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION
“God so loved the world that he gave his only
Son, so that everyone who believes in him might
not perish but might have eternal life." (John
3:16)
How can we say "thank you" to the God who has
given His only Son to us What can we give back
in return A life of Stewardship is the only way to truly
show our love and appreciation to God. A life of
Stewardship is a life of giving back time, talent and
treasure to God.
REFLECTIONS ON TODAY’S GOSPEL
In today's gospel reading, Jesus is speaking to
a Pharisee named Nicodemus. Nicodemus has
come to consult Jesus because he recognizes
that Jesus is a great teacher sent by God.
However, Nicodemus has not yet recognized
that Jesus is the Son of God, who has come to
save all who believe in him. Those who hear Jesus and
accept his word will have eternal life.
There is a saying, "God loves each of us as if there were
only one of us." And in a way, there is only "one of us."
Each one of us is unique. As the song says, "There Will
Never Be Another You." Fill in your own name in each of
the blank spaces:
God so loved ______ that he gave his only Son, that
________, who believes in him, may have eternal life.
God did not send the Son to _______ to condemn him/
her, but that _______ might be saved through him.
What is your response to this message How can you
share it with others
BIBLE STUDY FOR BEGINNERS
We would like to offer a Bible Study class
FOR BEGINNERS, for people who think
they know little or nothing of the Bible, how to use it, how
to navigate it, how to use it in prayer. The organizers
would like to suggest a class that meets on a Saturday,
late morning, not every week but over a period of time
that will be decided by those who sign up. Saturday is
even negotiable. An Introductory Program will be used
that has been made by the same company that provides
our regular Scripture Study programs. In this class, we
will be looking at just an overview of the Bible and general
principles to get you to feel comfortable. If you are
interested, call Jean/Jerry Washko at 856-845-6944. The
book program will be approximately $15.00. Page 5—635

The Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Infant Jesus
are celebrating fifty years of dedicated service to our
community. Accordingly, they wish to celebrate this
wonderful event with ALL of the alumni they have
served over these many years.
The celebration will take place on Saturday, June 25,
2011 at St. Margaret Church and McKeever Hall, and
you are all invited! There will be at Mass at 4:00 p.m.,
and a dinner (no charge) following the Mass. Please
bring your family members as well so that they too can
experience the Franciscan joy of the Sisters. Kindly
RSVP to fmijalumni@yahoo.com.
The Sisters are looking forward to rekindling “old”
friendships and being able to reminisce with many of
their students. It will also be a good opportunity for
classmates to reconnect.
Please mark this date on your calendar and plan to
attend this event, which will certainly prove to be both
memorable and most enjoyable. See you soon!
“We make ourselves real by telling the truth. Man can
hardly forget that he needs to know the truth, for the
instinct to know is too strong in us to be
destroyed. But he can forget how badly he also needs
to tell the truth. We cannot know truth unless we
ourselves are conformed to it. We are too much like
Pilate. We are always asking, "What is truth" and
then crucifying the truth that stands before our eyes.”
