BAPTISMS Preparation Program for new & expectant parents
held monthly on the 2ND Monday of the month at 7:00P.M. in
the Worship Center. It is mandatory for both parents. Baptisms
are held most Sundays. Please call Leslie at the Parish Office to
register for class and to schedule a Baptism.
RCIA Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a program that
prepares adults to be received into the Catholic Church. Persons
who complete the program receive the sacraments of Baptism
(if not yet baptized), First Eucharist, and Confirmation. The
program starts after Labor Day and continues through the
following spring. The program is also for Catholics who have
never received the sacraments of First Eucharist and/or
Confirmation. For information, please call the parish office.

SUMMER MASS SCHEDULE
The summer Mass schedule will be in
effect from Memorial Day weekend
through Labor Day weekend. During this
time, the 6:00 p.m. Mass on Sunday
evening will move from the Worship Center to St. Patrick’s
Church. There will also be no 7:00 a.m. daily Mass at St.
Matthew’s Church during the months of June, July, and
August.

Through your donations to the Poor Boxes, the
St. Vincent de Paul Society was able to help 27
families last month with financial assistance for
food, housing, utility, or emergency expenses.

HOUSE OF CHARITY
$18,899….That’s the latest number we are down
to if we are to reach our 2012 goal. Through the
generosity and sacrifices of our parishioners, we
are at 86% of goal. If you have not donated as yet this year,
there is still time. Upon achieving our goal, 10% of the goal
amount is rebated to our parish to assist us with local needs.

STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION
“This Jesus who has been taken up from you
into heaven will return in the same way as you
have seen him going into heaven” (Acts 1:11b)
How strong is your faith Do you believe that Jesus will
return In the Gospel Jesus tells us that He will return and
when He does He will separate us into sheep and goats,
depending on how much we have lived Stewardship by
using our blessings to help those in need. So how strong is

UNDERSTANDING ISLAM
The Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministry is
sponsoring a program entitled: Understanding
Islam. Islam is one of the three Abrahamic
faiths: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The presentation
will take place on Sunday, May 20 th at 4 PM at the Holy
Angels Worship Center. The presenter will be Dr. Farooq
A. Padder. Dr. Padder is a cardiologist at Underwood
Memorial Hospital. He is also the President of the South
Jersey (Willingboro) Chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim
Community (AMC) The AMC is the leading Islamic
organization to categorically reject terrorism in any form or
shape. It is the oldest Muslim Organization in the United
States and has been working hard towards promoting peace
and harmony. The AMC in recent years has launched
several campaigns that include: Muslims for Peace, Muslims
for Loyalty (emphasizing loyalty to one’s country) and most
recently Muslims for Life (Blood donation program) in
honor of the victims of the 9/11 attack and promoting the

The Catholic Communication Campaign this week
supports Catholic media projects for the radio,
television, Internet, and print in our diocese and all
over the United States. Half of the proceeds from
this collection stay here in our diocese to support
local communication efforts.
GARDEN CLUB
Holy Angels Garden Club is looking for volunteers
to help maintain the parish grounds with light
gardening work including planting, weeding,
sweeping, and raking. We are also continuing our

HOLY ANGELS MUSIC
The parish is in need of new cantor volunteers. We
would like to develop a group of cantors to
alternate service at the Masses that use a cantor. If
you have no experience, we will run training
sessions for you and pair you with an experienced
cantor for a few weeks. We welcome teens through adults
who enjoy singing and are willing to donate their time to the

LOW GLUTEN HOSTS
If you are in need of a low-gluten host when
receiving Communion, please arrive a little earlier
for Mass and speak to the priest (not an usher or Deacon) to
make your request. He will make sure you have a
consecrated low gluten host waiting for you. Simply come
up in his line, and signal that you requested the low-gluten
host.

The 6pm Youth Sunday Mass is looking for
youth volunteers to be a part of the mass. If you

SEARCHING FOR A JOB—JOIN THE CTP!
On May 23, 2012, the CTP will present a JOB
SEARCH TRAINING PROGRAM entitled,
“RESUME WORKSHOP.” Creating a dynamic
resume allows job seekers to think through and
define their career story. As noted in a recent article by The
Ladders, recruiters average 6 seconds to scan a resume.
Bring your resume for a one-on-one review by one of our
trained volunteers.
The training is at St Isaac Jogues Church, in the “Parish
Hall,” Evesboro-Medford Rd & Elmwood Rd, Marlton, NJ.
Park on the right (lighted) side of building. Informal
networking starts at 6:30 PM; the training program begins at
7:00 PM. Pre-registration is not required for this free
training.
Job seekers who attend three or more training programs have
the opportunity to access job announcements through the
CTP website. Go to www.ctpnj.org to register. Once you
receive access acknowledgement, you can view job openings
which have been made available by our partner
organizations.

REFLECTIONS ON TODAY’S GOSPEL
Have you ever been present when a grandparent
or other relative knew that he or she was in the
process of dying At such times, people often
pray for those they are leaving behind and express their love
for them. That's what Jesus did at the Last Supper. He knew
that his friends would be full of fear and grief at his death.
He also knew that they would be threatened by many evil
forces in the world.
Jesus prayed to the Father to guard his friends and keep them
in his name. He prayed that the Christian community would
be one, just as he and the Father are one.
Jesus says that his friends "do not belong to the world."
What do you think he means by that What are some of the
forms of evil in the world that threaten Jesus' followers
today How are we called to respond to evil
Jesus' prayer for the unity of all Christians has yet to be fully
answered. In what ways does your family or your parish
reach out to Christians of other churches What ideas do you
have about how your parish might form stronger bonds with
other local churches
TODAY’S FIRST READING
Do you remember how many people had
their feet washed during the Mass on Holy
Thursday Clue: It is the same as the number
of Jesus' apostles. In today's reading, we see
the number twelve being restored. Peter and the other ten
apostles are praying over the choice of someone to replace
Judas, the apostle who betrayed Jesus. Judas was so
overcome by remorse that he had taken his own life.
Matthias, who had also followed Jesus, was chosen to share
the apostles' ministry as witnesses to the resurrection of
Jesus. We share that call now to show by our lives that, in
Jesus, life overcomes death, and good is victorious over evil.
TODAY’S SECOND READING
What is the greatest proof of God's immense love for
us This letter reminds us that God the Father sent his
only Son to be the Savior of the world. And what is
the greatest proof we can give of our love for God By
loving one another as God loves us, we are giving
evidence that God is living in us.
We all know from experience how difficult it can be
to love others when they make life hard for us and act
in unloving ways. But God's love in us makes it possible to
respond with patience, forgiveness, and compassion.
