Preparation Program for new and expectant

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN
1st Way/Life Center’s Baby Bottle Boomerang
Campaign will be conducted this weekend.
Volunteers will be distributing bottles after each
Mass. Please take a bottle home and return it with your

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
The Knights of Columbus Council 1994 and
Council 11713 will be holding our annual
Membership Blitz this weekend at the Holy Angels
Worship Center. Now more than ever, the Knights of
Columbus is in need of new members due to the need to
grow our organization at a more rapid pace. For Catholic
gentlemen, if you are interested in joining a fraternal
organization that is directly involved in helping our church
in all of its activities, as well as sponsoring many of our
own including our motorcycle ministry, and you have as
little as 4 hours per month to donate, the Knights of
Columbus is for you! For those who do not have it, one of
the benefits of becoming a Knight is our excellent
insurance plans. Please see any of our members at the
doors after Mass for more information.
SPAGHETTI DINNER
The Knights of Columbus Council 1994,
Woodbury, NJ, is holding our annual Spaghetti
Dinner on October 15, 2010 in the Holy Trinity School
gym on Delsea Drive in Westville Grove. Enjoy a night
out with no cooking for a better price than eating at a
mainline restaurant! Plus feel good about sponsoring
your local Catholic Fraternal Organization! Ticket prices
are $5 per child, $6 for senior citizens, and $7 for adults.

The Knights of Columbus Council 1994 Rose Sale
will be held on the weekend of October 23-24.
The proceeds from this sale benefit the Right to Life
Charity. Please see one of the members at the doors
after Mass during that weekend to purchase a rose.

SACRIFICIAL OFFERINGS Thank you for your
continued financial support to your parish. Please
remember to make your contributions payable to Holy
Angels Parish. “We pray that, like the one leper who
returned, we may take time in our Stewardship to thank
God for all the blessings He bestows on us.”
STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION “Has none
but this foreigner returned to give thanks to
God” (Luke 17:18) Jesus seems so sad and
disappointed in the nine lepers who did not return to
thank Him. Good Stewards regularly return to thank God.
They do not take for granted all the wonderful blessings
that God gives to us every day.
Our 1st Annual Parish Picnic
and Ministry Fair was a wonderful
success because of you, our parishioners. Thank you
one and all! The day was filled with fun and laughter,
making new acquaintances and renewing friendships.
We are grateful to everyone who helped — setting up,
breaking down tables, painting faces, running games,
setting up music, and making desserts. As the saying
goes, “many hands make light work!”
Congratulations to Chloe Pottillo and Camille Pottillo,
the 1st and 2nd place winners of the pie eating contest,
and to Frankie Hourican and Chase Pottillo, the
winning team of the exciting egg relay race! Nice job
to all the kids who participated in the games.
We appreciate all of our ministry volunteers who came
out to share and promote the many ministries of our
new parish. There is something for everyone. All you
have to do is say, “YES, I would like to do that!”
Finally, a very special thank you to the Woodbury
Train Station Café and Gia Nina’s for catering this
great day. The food was delicious! It was so nice
working together with our neighbors.

HELP FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministry (GWCM)
offers a service for our Senior citizens or disabled
neighbors called Helping Hands. This ministry
operates on the second Saturday of each month from
8:30-12 Noon. Tasks performed are painting, raking
leaves, trimming bushes, cleaning windows, and other
household tasks. If you know of anyone who can use this
ministry, please arrange to have them call 845-1244 at
the Presbyterian Church. If you would like to volunteer
your time for this ministry call Jerry Washko at 845-6944.

Holy Trinity is hosting an Open House for Preschool,
Kindergarten, and new students for the 2010-2011 school
year. Tour the school and meet faculty/staff on
November 14 between 9am and 11am. Come see why

Holy Trinity is holding a Ladies Night/Holiday Auction

Classroom Tid-Bits:
K-The children learned a riddle for Johnny Appleseed
Day. Ask a student the following: what is a little red
house without windows, no doors, a chimney and a star
inside
1st-Grade 1 is off to an awesome start! Students were
tested on letter recognition, color & number words, and
writing 1-100. Mrs. Mandos is very proud of their efforts!
2nd-Students are working on their saint projects and will
present them to the class. They will also dress up as their
saints on the Holy Day.
3rd-We really enjoyed celebrating with our peace
pinwheels. Give peace a whirl! Thank you to Mrs. Raco
for planning the event!
4th-We enjoyed the book fair. Thank you to all the
volunteers who made it possible! For Back to School
Night we wrote thank you letters to our parents. We are
enjoying leading the singing at mass.

CHRISTMAS CARD ART CONTEST
The Knights of Columbus New Jersey State
Council is sponsoring a Christmas card art
contest! The grand winner of the contest will have his or
her drawing used as the cover of the official New Jersey
State Council 2010 Christmas card. All drawings must be
on an 8x11 sheet of white paper and in color. Drawings
must reflect the theme of “Keeping Christ in Christmas.”
Girls and boys in grades 1-8 are eligible to enter. There
will be a winner selected from each grade level, as well as
a grand winner selected by the New Jersey State Deputy
from the winning entries of each grade level. The grand
winner will receive a certificate and a $200 savings bond.

ESSAY CONTEST
The New Jersey Council Knights of Columbus
Essay Contest is open to all NJ students
presently enrolled in grades 7-12. 2010 Topic:
What patriotism means to me. Essays must be typed
double-spaced or written legibly in ink and should be
limited to not more than 500 words. Essays should be
submitted by October 31. Each Council will select a
winning essay for each grade level and forward those
essays to the State Chairman. New Jersey State Council
winners will be selected in December for each grade
level. The State Council winners will each receive a $500
savings bond and certificate of recognition. For more

Awards for outstanding service in Catholic health care
within the Diocese of Camden are presented during the
Mass. This year’s honorees are Dr. Catherine A. Michon,
