PARISH CARNIVAL Holy Angels Parish will host a Parish Carnival on May 31 to June 4 at the St. Matthew School Grounds. Save the dates and come join us for a fun week of rides, games, great food, and entertainment. We are looking for eager volunteers who would like to help with the following committees: Trailer Captains (Games); Prize Committee; Food & Beverage; Entertainment Chairman; Advertisement; Sponsors; Ticket Sales; Raffles-50/50; Set Up/ Break Down. If you are interested in joining a committee, come to a Carnival Meeting Monday, April 4th at 7:30pm in Holy Angels Worship Center-Lower Level. Meeting time is from 7:30 pm to 9:00pm. UNITED WAY PARTICIPANTS If you participate, please remember that the House of Charity is a qualified non-member Donor Option Agency. Complete your pledge form using your home address, and designate House of Charity in the Donor Choice section, along with any other information they may require. Please also indicate the parish name so that donations may be credited to our parish for the 2011 House of Charity Appeal. Thank you. STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION “Jesus said to her, ‘Give me a drink.’” (John 4:7b) How often through our lives does Jesus ask us to give Him a drink Remember that Jesus lives in every person who is physically hungry and thirsty and also in all those who thirst for compassion, love or care. Mother Teresa was motivated in her work in Calcutta by two of Our Lord’s last words as He hung on the cross. “I thirst” – John 19:28 Sometimes it may be difficult for us to give the drink that Jesus asks from us. Yet, can we really refuse him our Stewardship by not sharing our time, talent or treasure to relieve Our Lord’s thirst in this world SACRIFICIAL OFFERINGS Thank you for your continued financial support to your parish. Please remember to make your contributions payable to Holy Angels Parish. “We pray that as His Stewards, we may respond to Our Lord’s request for a drink of water by working to relieve the physical and emotional thirst for those who are poor, lonely or in need of compassion.” Stations of the Cross will take place every Friday during Lent at 12:05 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in St. Patrick Church, and at 7:00 p.m. in St. Matthew Church. SPRING MUSICAL PERFORMANCE Holy Angels Parish Performing Arts Program will present a Spring Musical, "Winnie the Pooh" on April 7th and 8th at 7pm and Matinees on April 9 and 10th at 1:30pm. The play will be held at St. Matthew's Hall, 1210 Hessian Ave., West Deptford. Reserved seats are available for $5.00 per person. Limited seating! Email wdltss@comcast.net for reservations. CASINO TRIP Trip to Showboat Casino on Thursday, April 7th. Leaves the Parish Worship Center at 9:00 a.m. and returns at 4:00 p.m. Cost of trip is $30.00. You will receive $25.00 in coin. HOLY ANGELS GARDEN CLUB Holy Angels Garden Club will be hosting a parish grounds clean up Saturday April 9 th from 10am-12pm. We will meet in the Parish Center parking lot. AN EVENING OF SONG WITH TONIA TECCE Tonia Tecce, formerly of our parish, is offering a discount for Holy Angels Parishioners who would like to purchase tickets for her upcoming concert, An Evening of Song with Tonia Tecce: From Puccini to Gershwin. The concert will take place at the Kimmel Center on Friday, April 1 at 8:00 p.m. If you are interested, please call the Rectory. During the classes this week, our children will share their Baptism, Church, and Priest or Deacon who baptized them with their class. This would be a great time to bring out pictures or memorabilia and share the Baptism experience of all persons in the family....Parents, Siblings and Grandparents, too!! Upcoming dates: April 9—First Holy Communion Retreat Children attending the 9:30 First Communion Mass will attend the retreat from 9:30-11:30 in the Holy Angels Worship Center. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministry is looking for adult volunteers to work with leadership to run the Vacation Bible School for the children. The Vacation Bible School will be held July 25 – 29, Monday to Friday at 9am–12 noon. The program services children ages 4 through grade six. The deadline for signing up for this ministry is Sunday, April 24. Even if you can volunteer for only a day or so, you can be worked into the schedule. CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES COLLECTION Next week, our parish will take up The Catholic Relief Services Collection. This Collection supports six Catholic agencies benefiting millions of vulnerable, displaced, and impoverished families and individuals around the world. From direct humanitarian service to helping victims of human trafficking and working to reunify families, the funds from this Collection make a real difference in lives across the globe. How will you help Next week, please support The Catholic Relief Services Collection and Jesus in disguise. YOUTH NEWS Live Station Practice will be held Sunday evenings from 7pm-8pm in the Holy Angels Worship Center, March 27, April 3, and April 10. No experience needed. All youth are welcome. Come and be a part of this wonderful celebration! The Junior Youth Ministry will be performing Live Stations of the Cross Palm Sunday at 7pm following the 6pm mass in the Holy Angels Worship Center. The 6pm Youth Sunday Mass is looking for youth volunteers to be a part of the mass. If you would like to read, usher, sing or play an instrument we need you. P l e a s e c o n t a c t M r s .
