The Advantages of Exploring in Finland
4
FINLAND GEOLOGY AND POTENTIAL
• ~300km base metals province along Archaean cratonic
margin
• Numerous copper/nickel/zinc mines and occurrences
• Main deposit types: Outokumpu, VMS and Gabbro hosted
• Key mines : Outokumpu, Pyhäsalmi, Hammaslahti,
Enonkoski, Kylylahti
• Most exploration & mining activities ended in early 1990’s
JURISDICTION
• Finland rated #1 global mining destination 2012 and #5 in
2011 (Fraser Institute)
• Excellent infrastructure: roads, power, towns, rail etc
• Low start up costs, low underground mining costs,
residential workforce

Using Innovative Technologies to Make New Discoveries
5
Examples (left to right):
• Hammaslahti Mine Area – Geochemical data to define VMS alteration anomaly
• Outokumpu Mine Area – Seismic data to define prospective sequence at depth
• Enonkoski Mine Area – ZTEM data to define geometry of conductive sequence
Excellent Progress – 2012/2013
1 FINNAUST HAS BUILT A DOMINANT LAND POSITION IN THE OUTOKUMPU COPPER BELT
• Past production including Altona’s current resource in OKU belt: ~42Mt@3.1% Cu, 1.0% Zn, 0.2%Co
• Drilling has confirmed wide zones of prospective OKU mine sequence at three targets
• ZTEM may represent a ‘breakthrough’ geophysical tool for making new discoveries
2 FINNAUST HAS BUILT A DOMINANT LAND POSITION IN THE HAMMASLAHTI COPPER/ZINC/SILVER BELT
• Drilling confirmed extensions to Hammaslahti mine with high grade massive sulphides (Cu/Ag/Au)
• Best drill hole intersection to date : 3.4m @ 11.5% Cu, 54ppm Ag, 3ppm Au
3 SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS ON GABBRO HOSTED NICKEL/COPPER BELTS (EG JOUTSENO, ENONKOSKI)
FOR FUTURE DRILLING
4 OUTSTANDING GEOLOGICAL, GEOPHYSICAL, GEOCHEMICAL DATABASE
Drilling – 2013
OUTOKUMPU COPPER BELT (Target: large, high grade Outokumpu Type deposits)
1. Kuusjarvi : 4km zone of Outokumpu Mine Sequence (‘OKU’), 15km SW of Keretti Mine (ice road access)
2. Teyrisuo & Viurusuo : ZTEM targets in OKU mine sequence, NE and SW along strike from Keretti Mine
3. Sola : Strong ZTEM conductor, ~15km east of Keretti Mine, south of Altona’s Kylylahti Cu mine
FinnAust has joined Mondo Minerals, Altona Mining, GTK (Finland Geological Survey), Tekes (Finnish Funding Agency
for Technology and Innovation) , and The University of Helsinki in The “OKU Brownfield Project” a major geophysical
research project (including ZTEM) over the Outokumpu Copper Belt starting in 2013. GTK will lead the Project.
HAMMASLAHTI COPPER MINE (Target: VMS Type deposits)
1. Target 1 : drill ZTEM anomaly in favorable structural setting, 2km east of Hammaslahti Cu mine
2. Target 2 : drill extensions to main Hammaslahti copper ore shoot. Aim to define mineral resource
(Note: Most 2013 targets at Outokumpu and
Hammaslahti are based on coincident ZTEM, gravity,
magnetic and structural anomalies as well as favorable
geology. Hammaslahti targets include potentially
significant surface geochemical results based on
interpretation of till data

Geophysical consulting (maps, petrophysics etc.)
Experience, critique and recommendations:
Quality of drilling data (collars and dips to be re-surveyed), duplicate drill holes
Data to be organized better: geophysical data is better organized than geological data
Price of data: no price per unit, all data should be available for free from Internet or with
copy charges only
Recommendations: Results of handheld XRF-analyzer from drill core - data
