Recycling Program
In an effort to conserve the earth’s limited natural resources, Brookfield Properties has instituted a
recycling program at the building. All tenants are encouraged to participate in this program,
which not only serves to protect our environment, but also helps reduce operating costs.
How the Recycling Program Works
Each workstation and/or desk will be supplied a “Blue Recycling Container” where the paper
products noted below must be deposited.
Glossy Paper Brown Kraft Paper Coloured Paper
Computer Paper Photocopy Paper Envelopes ( all types)
Fax Paper File Folders Gummed Paper
Magazines Telephone Books NCRO Paper
Newpaper Shredded Paper Sticky Notes
Building Management will supply areas that generate large volumes of recyclable paper, with
larger blue recycling containers.
Also separate labeled recycle containers are supplied to kitchenettes and lunchrooms for cans,
bottles, glass, straws and stir sticks. Theses materials can be combined together in the same
receptacle. Please contact the Property Management Office to obtain additional recyclable
containers if required.
We encourage the participation of all our tenants to please RECYCLE and separate all contents
in the proper containers at all times. Thank you.
The Housekeeping Staff will remove the contents from all “Blue Recycling Containers” each night
to complete the process.
The following items are not recyclable and should not be deposited in the “Blue Recycling
Container” and must be placed in Waste receptacles:
All Food Items Binders Blue Print Paper
Beverage Items Plastic Bags Kleenex/ Tissues
Wax Paper Wax Cardboard Foil/Plastic Wrap
Carton Disposal
To dispose of cardboard cartons, please follow these instructions:
Flatten cartons. Retain flattened cartons in a designated area of your premises. Clearly, mark the
carton(s) “garbage”.
All cartons are removed nightly by the Housekeeping Staff and will be recycled.
If you accumulate a large number of cartons or boxes during business hours, please advise the
Property Management Office. Cartons and boxes will be removed promptly.
