Dahlias are one of our favorite plants for the summer
garden. Alone, it’s lovely and provides tons of flowers for
arrangements. But with other plants in the garden, it’s
hard to beat! Just keep the spent blossom cut or picked
off and they keep ‘going and going’ like the ‘energizer
bunny’! Naturally, they do best in late spring/early
summer and then again throw tons of flowers in the
autumn. The number of flowers produced in the
summer depends on where they are planted.

Any dahlias which do not fall into one of the previous
groups; primarily dark leaved plants. Normally
2’-4’ tall.
