The new Admissions webpage offers prospective
students a snapshot of Delhi’s degree programs
and information on the application and financial
processes.
• The Electronic Campus—Forms,
publications, work requests, and
communication with current and
prospective students are some
examples of how campus offices are
moving to the Internet to reduce the
amount of paper and postage used by
the college and improve efficiency.
• Collaboration—The college joined the
SUNY Academic Software Initiative to
reduce licensing costs for commonly
used academic software. It also
continued to use the services of
SUNY ITEC and the SICAS Center to
provide mainframe software
installation and technical support
services.
Implementing a
Planning Process Across
Campus
The College Senate, Delhi’s governance
organization, is helping lay the groundwork
for new and more inclusive
approaches to campus planning. The
Senate has authorized the formation of
two committees—an Annual Planning and
Budgeting group and a Strategic Planning
committee—to make recommendations
to the President’s Cabinet. The work of
these committees will provide a template
for a campus planning process that
continues to expand and improve. Other
examples of campus planning include:
• Institutional Assessment—The frame
work for an institutional effectiveness
program was developed in response
to a recommendation from Middle
States.
• Reorganization—A comprehensive look
at the Physical Plant resulted in a
reorganization that offers improved
service with minimum staffing levels.
• Inventory—A new approach to the
Physical Space Inventory will provide
data that will allow for more effective
analysis of information on space and
space utilization.
• Financial Projections—A financial
model was created to improve budget
planning and communication on
budget issues to the campus.
Fostering a Sense of
Community
Preparing for the world beyond the
college campus through community
service is one of the values SUNY Delhi
seeks to instill in its students. A sense of
community also is essential to creating
a college that is vibrant, healthy and
resourceful. Promoting open communication,
