Academic achievements came in many
other areas as well, including:
• Culinary—Delhi’s Culinary Team
captured a gold medal at the American
Culinary Federation national
championship and Thomas Recinella,
team coach and assistant professor,
was named Educator of the Year by
the American Culinary Federation.
• SUNY—Chancellor’s Awards for
Excellence went to students Jason
Goldberg, Aaron Moriarty, and Isaac
Pratt, and to Associate Professor Lynn
Domina, Associate Professor Robert
Seibert and EOP Director Michele
DeFreece.
• Scholars—Nine area high school
students, with a cumulative high
school grade point average of 91.7,
were named Presidential Scholars for
Fall 2003. This new academic honors
program offers full tuition scholarships
and special honors courses to
students from Delaware and Otsego
Counties with strong academic
backgrounds.

• New Program—State Education
Department (SED) and SUNY approved
a baccalaureate program in Veterinary
Technology Management, which will
debut in Fall 2004.
• Hotel Laboratory—Marriott
International completely renovated its
campus hotel suite, which is used as
a learning laboratory for students and
as a guest room for visiting
dignitaries.

Enrollment has grown from 1,893
students in 1997 to more than 2,300
today. During this era, the college has
