VANAMO In a nutshell
The Vanamo-project is carried out
in three different sectors
• Ecopartnership and supporting
environmental know-how in
private businesses
• Environmental information, education
and activities, and activating
citizens to participate (customer
service, education and citizens’ activities)
• Development of environmental
management as well as material
and energy efficiency
Vanamo promotes sustainable development
in line with current themes.
The goal of the project is a
permanent information and activity
centre open for the audience.
The target groups of the project
are municipalities in Lahti Region,
kindergartens, schools and educational
establishments, organizations
and citizen groups (NGO´s), authorities,
citizens and private enterprises
as well as centres of enterprises.
Vanamo project is partly financed
by EU Regional Development Fund
through Häme Regional Environment
Centre and partly by the
project partners. The project partners
consist of six municipalities in
Lahti Region (Päijät-Häme Province)
and public companies partly owned
by Lahti City.
