Parenting Workshop for parents of pre-adolescents (10 years and older) and<br />
adolescents<br />
The bat and bar mitzvah mark the Jewish child’s transition into adulthood. How do we<br />
prepare ourselves and our children for this transition Explore effective strategies for<br />
guiding and supporting a child during these turbulent years.<br />
Session 1: The breakdown of parental authority: Are parents becoming too soft with<br />
their children<br />
Session II: Preparing a teenager for adulthood - Is there a crucial ingredient A<br />
discussion with a 16 year old boy.<br />
Session III: Mom & Dad: Similar but different: The distinctive role of mother & father<br />
in the developing life of their child.<br />
Session IV: Dad, Mom: Why are you fighting The template children use for managing<br />
their own conflict and challenges.<br />
All workshops are held at Great Park Synagogue @ 7:45PM. Donation: R30.00 per<br />
