PEER LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
Designed to develop the leadership of high school
students while teaching them to provide outreach to
students in the middle school. The program focuses
on building relationships, fostering collaboration,
increasing self confidence, developing conflict
resolution skills and acquiring healthy decisionmaking
strategies.
10,11,12th grade students who have completed the
application process, which includes advisor review
and teacher recommendations. There will also be an
opportunity for 9th grade students to be involved
through our Student Ambassador Program.
Attend meetings, workshops, and activities on a
regular basis. Maintain a balance of academic and
social responsibilities. Consistently be a positive role
model for all students and the community.

SCIENCE LEAGUE - BIOLOGY I & II
Purpose:
To compare student academic ability on a county
scale
Membership:
Grades 9-12, Honors Bio students (top 6 grades)
Member expectations: Attend study groups and test dates, review and study
on their own
Meeting dates/location: After school one day per week
Previous activities: Four competitions per year

SCIENCE LEAGUE -CHEMISTRY I &II
Purpose:
To offer students the opportunity to further their
chemistry ability and understanding
Membership:
Must be taking or have taken Chemistry
Member expectations: Attend a meeting/session each week with the
supervisor to discuss material

Previous activities: Four competitions per year

REBEL 2
Purpose:
To explore different tobacco issues and educate
schools, families, and friends of the dangers of
tobacco.
Membership: Grades 7-12
Member Expectations: Members are expected to attend all meetings and
extra-curricular events.
Meeting dates/locations: Various dates, bi-monthly meetings in MS room 13
Previous Activities: Anti-tobacco presentations to Blairstown Elementary

ROBOTICS

SCIENCE LEAGUE-EARTH SCIENCE
To help students prepare for comprehensive exams
Must currently be taking Earth Science
Read preparatory guide for taking exams. Study
independently and attend meetings
Biweekly in November and December, weekly
January through April – High School Room 16
Purpose:
To introduce students to engineering principles of
robotics
Membership: Grades 7&8
Membership expectations: Members are expected to attend all meetings and
participate in activities
