This year we have an unprecedented opportunity to tackle
the climate crisis. I urge the world’s governments to seal
a deal on a climate change agreement in Copenhagen this
December. It must be ambitious, fair and effective in reducing
emissions while assisting countries as they adapt to the
inevitable effects of climate change.

VISITS UNPA STAND
AT THE ECOSOC
INNOVATION FAIR
IN GENEVA
On 6 July 2009, the Secretary-
General of the United Nations, BAN
Ki-moon paid a special visit to the
UNPA promotional stand at the
ECOSOC (Economic and Social
Council) Innovation Fair at the Palais
des Nations, Geneva. In his opening
address, he mentioned that the UNPA
ECOSOC stamps are a wonderful
way to promote the works and goals
of ECOSOC.
