Sojka Pavilion: The Place to Be<br />
<strong>Bucknell</strong>’s recent hoops success has captured the imagination of the campus<br />
and surrounding communities, so much so that the Bison have attracted one<br />
of the best home-court advantages in the nation. Some Sojka facts:<br />
Sojka Pavilion, <strong>Bucknell</strong>’s home since 2003, has attracted frequent sellout crowds, and<br />
the Bison have led the Patriot League in attendance in each of the last eight seasons.<br />
<strong>Bucknell</strong> crowds are led by “The Sojka Psychos” student section, clad in all orange behind<br />
both baskets.<br />
The spirited crowds have helped the Bison to an 112-33 record in Sojka Pavilion, including<br />
a 78-15 mark against Patriot League competition.<br />
<strong>Bucknell</strong> had a 38-game home winning streak against Patriot League foes that spanned<br />
five seasons.<br />
Major-conference foes Villanova and Wake Forest have visited Sojka Pavilion in recent<br />
years. The Villanova game attracted a standing-room-only crowd of 4,433, which remains<br />
the largest ever to see a basketball game on the <strong>Bucknell</strong> campus. Wake Forest was the<br />
first ACC team ever to play at <strong>Bucknell</strong>. In 20<strong>14</strong>-15, the Bison will host Penn State at Sojka<br />
Pavilion.<br />
Twenty-seven nationally televised games have been aired from Sojka Pavilion, including<br />
the telecasts of the 2006, 2011, 2012 and <strong>2013</strong> Patriot League championship games.<br />
<strong>Bucknell</strong> played 12 regular-season home games in 2012-13. Among the visitors to Sojka<br />
Pavilion were traditional mid-major powers George Mason, Kent State and La Salle.<br />
A total of 427,<strong>14</strong>2 fans have watched men’s basketball games at Sojka so far.
