NCAA/NIT Tournament Triumphs<br />

<strong>Bucknell</strong> has made six NCAA Tournament appearances (1987, 1989, 2005, 2006, 2011, <strong>2013</strong>).<br />

In 2005, the Bison became the first Patriot League team ever to win an NCAA Tournament<br />

game, upsetting third-seeded Kansas 64-63 in Oklahoma City.<br />

One year later, <strong>Bucknell</strong> repeated the feat, knocking out Arkansas 59-55. <strong>Bucknell</strong> was a No. 9 seed<br />

in the tournament in 2006, the highest seeding ever for a Patriot League team.<br />

In 2005, the Bison were eliminated in the second round by Wisconsin, 71-62, in a game <strong>Bucknell</strong> led<br />

with nine minutes to play. Top-seeded Memphis defeated <strong>Bucknell</strong> 72-56 in round two in 2006. In<br />

2011, the Bison lost their first game to eventual national champion Connecticut. In <strong>2013</strong>, <strong>Bucknell</strong><br />

earned a No. 11 seed and fell to Butler in a back-and-forth contest.<br />

<strong>Bucknell</strong> won another postseason game in 2012, defeating top-seeded Arizona in the first round of<br />

the NIT. The Bison lost a close game at Nevada in the second round.<br />
