The good steward must not show favoritism. The
rich may have many material gifts to share, but
St. James reminds us in the second reading that
God has chosen the world’s poor to be rich in
and support for one another. If you are willing to
share our rich Catholic faith with our youth as they prepare
for Confirmation please contact Barbara Schmidt at 847-1393
or bschmidt@holyrosarycc.org. Thank you
NOTES TO NOTE:
STEWARDSHIP OF TIME AND TALENT. As you can
see by the hangings on the walls of the church there are
many and varied ministries here at Holy Rosary. We
hope that you will take some time today and in the next
week to consider one or more of the ministries that you
would like to be involved in. That is part of being true to
your Baptismal Call as committed Catholics. A little help
from everyone will keep our parish vibrant and on the
move. Thanks for your consideration!
THE PARISH EXTENDS ITS SYMPATHY to the family of
ELEANOR BOSCH, whose funeral will be on Monday at
1:00 P.M. in our church. May she rest in the peace of the
risen Christ.
Last week I quoted a guy name Brian about the importance
of prayer, and I wanted to expand on that a bit
more. Prayer is essential to our lives...but it can be really
hard, and sometimes it can be downright painful. One of
the biggest reasons why people don't take time for prayer
is because they are busy. They have obligations, duties,
and responsibilities to take care of, and by the time they
get a chance to pray they are exhausted. I have also spoken
with people about not praying and they told me they
have this feeling of shame whenever the idea of prayer
comes up. They tell me that "God doesn't love me", or
"Look what I have done, why would God care for my
prayer". I want to alleviate you heart by letting you
know being extremely busy and feeling shameful are
tactics that the Devil uses against us. He tries to fill our
time up with noise and events to make us not pray, and
he constantly reminds us of our wickedness. Do not believe
in Him. You were bought at a price...blood. You
have been redeemed and you are loved individually, intentionally,
and specifically. They is NO OTHER being
on this earth that is loved by God the way you are. +JMJ
