E. Cross-sections stationed along the centerline baseline shall be taken at 50 feet stationing, centerline of<br />

intersecting streets, R.O.W. lines at each intersection, curb line(s) at each intersection, all breaks in grade.<br />

Stationing elevations shall be taken at the building line(s), fence lines, encroachment lines, top and bottom of<br />

curbs or edge of pavement (including malls), ¼ points of all roadways widths (over 100 feet wide right of<br />

ways), center line of street, back edges of ribbon sidewalks, possession lines, and adopted widening lines(s)<br />

where applicable.<br />

1.04.2 SURVEY DOCUMENTS <strong>FOR</strong> UNDEVELOPED AREAS<br />

A. Where the work is in an undeveloped area, the Survey <strong>Document</strong>s shall include a separate sheet showing the<br />

base line. The sheet shall show the base line with all cuts and witnesses for each base line monument or survey<br />

control point. If necessary, enlarged details shall be drawn to show the witnesses. Borough President<br />

Monuments shall be shown with their coordinates. Distances between cuts, base line angle and coordinates of<br />

points on the base line shall be included. The sheet shall give descriptions of the benchmarks and their<br />

elevations with respect to the appropriate borough datum plane.<br />

B. The sheet shall be at 1”=30’ scale, on 28”x40” size drawing, properly titled with a reference to the proper<br />

datum plane, scale and date included.<br />

1.04.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE PROTOCOL<br />

For all services provided hereunder, the Consultant shall adhere to its Quality Assurance Protocol (QAP). The<br />

Consultant’s QAP is subject to review and approval by the Commissioner. The Consultant shall submit its<br />

QAP at the Contract Kick-off Meeting. The QAP shall establish the Consultant’s Quality Assurance (QA)<br />

policy, management structure and procedures for document control and monitoring. The QAP shall ensure the<br />

health and safety of their personnel while performing field operations in confined and non-environmental<br />

compliant spaces. The QAP MUST be submitted by the Consultant for review by the Health and Safety Officer<br />

of the <strong>NYC</strong><strong>DDC</strong> within fifteen days (15) of contract commencement.<br />

A. The Consultant’s QAP shall establish document control and routine monitoring procedures that address the<br />

following:<br />

(1) Field Surveying Procedures<br />

(2) Survey Instruments/Equipment<br />

(3) Chain-of-custody process<br />

(4) Survey Instruments/equipment testing, inspection and maintenance requirements<br />

(5) Instrument calibration and frequency<br />

(6) Data review, verification, and validation<br />

(7) Corrective action process<br />

B. Project Work <strong>Document</strong>ation: The Consultant must maintain and provide to the Commissioner upon project<br />

completion, documents and records associated with the services provided. Such documents shall include,<br />

without limitation, the following:<br />

(1) Field notebooks or field data sheets<br />

(2) Field equipment calibration / maintenance logs<br />

(3) Chain-of-custody records<br />

(4) Field Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)<br />

(5) Instrument printouts<br />

(6) Corrective action documentation<br />

1.04.4 SURVEY ACCURACY<br />

A. Any elevation supplied should refer to the local Borough Datum, unless otherwise instructed by <strong>DDC</strong>.<br />
