If the recipient <strong>of</strong> <strong>in</strong>centive measures fails to fulfil the criteria concern<strong>in</strong>g<br />
the creation <strong>of</strong> new jobs or reduces the number <strong>of</strong> jobs, he/she will be<br />
denied the right to use the tax concession <strong>for</strong> entire period <strong>for</strong> which it was<br />
granted and must return the funds derived from the use <strong>of</strong> the tax<br />
concession <strong>in</strong>creased by the statutory <strong>in</strong>terest on arrears. The recipient <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>in</strong>centive measures must reta<strong>in</strong> eligibility status by keep<strong>in</strong>g the <strong>in</strong>vestment<br />
and related new jobs dur<strong>in</strong>g a m<strong>in</strong>imum period <strong>of</strong> 5 years, and this period<br />
will not be shorter than the period <strong>in</strong> which he makes use <strong>of</strong> the <strong>in</strong>centive<br />
measures.<br />
Tariff concessions<br />
The imported equipment that constitutes part <strong>of</strong> the <strong>in</strong>vestment is not<br />
subject to the payment <strong>of</strong> customs duties (<strong>in</strong> accordance with customs<br />
tariffs under sections 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, and 90 <strong>of</strong> the Customs tariff<br />
act). However, tariff concessions <strong>for</strong> <strong>in</strong>vestments will cease to have effect<br />
on the day <strong>of</strong> accession <strong>of</strong> the Republic <strong>of</strong> Croatia to the European Union.<br />
Grant to cover eligible costs <strong>of</strong> creat<strong>in</strong>g new <strong>in</strong>vestmentrelated<br />
jobs<br />
An <strong>in</strong>vestor is entitled to a grant if he/she hires workers with<strong>in</strong> their own<br />
facilities. The amount <strong>of</strong> the grant is determ<strong>in</strong>ed on the basis <strong>of</strong> the<br />
unemployment rate <strong>in</strong> the area where funds are <strong>in</strong>vested and jobs created.<br />
Grants are def<strong>in</strong>ed on the basis <strong>of</strong> the follow<strong>in</strong>g criteria (<strong>in</strong> EUR):<br />

The recipient <strong>of</strong> <strong>in</strong>centive measures who ensures the creation <strong>of</strong> new<br />
<strong>in</strong>vestment-related jobs is awarded a grant <strong>for</strong> tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> employees <strong>in</strong> the<br />
new jobs. A grant may be awarded <strong>in</strong> the <strong>for</strong>m <strong>of</strong>:<br />
