Agroproteinka is the largest
processor of slaughterhouse
waste and other waste of animal
origin and the only type of
building for recycling waste of animal origin in Croatia.
Agroproteinka collects animal waste daily with 20 specialized vehicles
from all around Croatia. The waste undergoes high temperature processing;
it is recycled in the rendering houses to 25% solid residue, or meat bone
meal and 15% liquid residue, or animal fats which are then used as
recyclable sources of energy in the chemical industry or as a component in
animal nutrition. Agroproteinka's complete and reliable system of
management of organic substance and energy plays an important role in
preventing the processes which can destabilize the ecosystem.
