unemployment rate exceeds the national average; the development of the
branch of industry into which the investment is made.
A large investment project or an investment project of significant
economic interest is a project which involves a large economic activity,
such as the construction of a new factory or industrial plant, starting up of
a new economic activity, as well as the development of new technologies,
and investment projects with the value of investment in fixed assets of the
recipient of investment measures of at least EUR 15 million in HRK
equivalent, provided that a minimum of 100 now investment-related jobs is
created, starting from the end of the first year of investment.
For large investment projects in the regions (counties) of the Republic of
Croatia where the registered unemployment rate according to the data of
the Croatian Bureau of Statistics for the preceding year exceeds 20%, the
recipient of incentive measures will be granted an increase in the incentive
measures provided for by this Act not exceeding 5% of the actual eligible
costs of investment into fixed assets:
• For the costs of constructing a new factory or industrial plant;
• For the costs of purchase of new machines or manufacturing
equipment in the total maximum HRK equivalent value of up to
EUR 1 million, provided that the share of investment into
machinery or manufacturing equipment accounts for at least 40% of
the total investment value and that at least 50% of the purchased
machinery or manufacturing equipment is high-tech machinery or
equipment.
• For large investment projects whose implementation implies the
construction of new investment-related infrastructure facilities and
installations or extension or enlargement of existing ones, a grant
