1958<br />
James E. Cobb, a founding partner at Peek, Cobb &<br />
Edwards, was awarded the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> North <strong>Florida</strong>’s<br />
Presidential Medallion for Outstanding Service, the university’s<br />
highest form <strong>of</strong> nonacademic recognition, given to local<br />
civic leaders who have helped guide UNF’s progress.<br />
1959<br />
Stephen W. Sessums was awarded the first Lifetime<br />
Achievement Award by the <strong>Florida</strong> Chapter <strong>of</strong> the American<br />
Academy <strong>of</strong> Matrimonial <strong>Law</strong>yers in appreciation for his<br />
work with the academy and in furthering the practice <strong>of</strong><br />
matrimonial law.<br />

1963<br />
Larry S. Stewart, <strong>of</strong> Stewart Tilghman Fox & Bianchi, was<br />
awarded the ABA Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section’s<br />
Pursuit <strong>of</strong> Justice award in recognition <strong>of</strong> his lifelong devotion to<br />
the legal pr<strong>of</strong>ession and for significant contributions to the pursuit<br />
<strong>of</strong> justice. He was also named to the Top 500 <strong>of</strong> leading plaintiff<br />
lawyers by <strong>Law</strong>dragon magazine and was appointed to the<br />
Program Committee <strong>of</strong> the Council <strong>of</strong> the American <strong>Law</strong> Institute.<br />
1964<br />
The second edition <strong>of</strong> Michael L. Jamieson’s book,<br />
Remembrances: My Life with Chesterfield Smith: America’s<br />
<strong>Law</strong>yer, was published recently and is available at major<br />
booksellers online.<br />
1966<br />
I. Michael Colodny, a partner with Colodny, Fass, Talenfeld,<br />
Karlinsky & Abate, was recognized in South <strong>Florida</strong> Legal Guide<br />
in the government relations and insurance law categories.<br />
Steve Rossman, founding partner <strong>of</strong> Rossman Baumberger<br />
Reboso & Spier in Miami, was elected secretary <strong>of</strong> the<br />
national board <strong>of</strong> Easter Seals and became a member <strong>of</strong> the<br />
board’s executive committee.<br />
1967<br />
Donald J. Sasser, <strong>of</strong> Sasser, Cestero & Sasser in West Palm<br />
Beach, was elected president <strong>of</strong> the International Academy<br />
<strong>of</strong> Matrimonial <strong>Law</strong>yers.<br />
1969<br />
Joseph P. Milton, a Jacksonville attorney, has become<br />
certified as a member <strong>of</strong> the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.<br />
Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million<br />
and multi-million dollar verdicts, awards and settlements.<br />
He is a board-certified civil trial lawyer and a board-certified<br />
admiralty and maritime lawyer.<br />
1972<br />
Judge John E. Futch, <strong>of</strong> the 5th Judicial Circuit Marion<br />
County Court, was awarded the Outstanding Jurist Award<br />
by the Young <strong>Law</strong>yers Division <strong>of</strong> The <strong>Florida</strong> Bar.<br />
1973<br />
Walter “Skip” Campbell was appointed to the board <strong>of</strong><br />
advisers <strong>of</strong> the Center for Governmental Responsibility (CGR)<br />
at the UF <strong>Levin</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Law</strong>. Campbell is a shareholder<br />
with Krupnick Campbell Malone Buser Slama Hancock<br />
Liberman & McKee and a former <strong>Florida</strong> senator.<br />
Daniel Richardson, <strong>of</strong> Lewis, Longman & Walker’s<br />
Jacksonville <strong>of</strong>fice, was elected a shareholder <strong>of</strong> the firm.<br />
1974<br />
Leslie J. Lott, past director <strong>of</strong> the International Trademark<br />
Association and founding partner <strong>of</strong> the intellectual property<br />
firm Lott & Friedland in Coral Gables, spoke at the Intellectual<br />
Property Litigation and Insurance Seminar. She also spoke at<br />
the <strong>Florida</strong> Bar 2007 midyear meeting in Miami about “I.P.<br />
Rocks: Intellectual Property and the Entertainment Business.”<br />
Richard A. Murdoch became a shareholder <strong>of</strong> Buckingham,<br />
Doolittle & Burroughs and is working out <strong>of</strong> the Boca Raton<br />

Wayne E. Flowers, <strong>of</strong> the Jacksonville <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> Lewis,<br />
Longman & Walker, was elected chairman <strong>of</strong> the St. Johns<br />
County Housing Finance Authority.<br />
1976<br />
James A. Earp was elected Circuit Judge for Brevard County.<br />
Jeffrey Pheterson, shareholder in Buckingham, Doolittle &<br />
Burroughs Boca Raton’s <strong>of</strong>fice, was elected chairman <strong>of</strong> the<br />
