CALLED TO ORDER
Vice President Steve Barker called the meeting to order at 7:10
PM.
Attending: Frederick Rauch, Kirk Bradford, John Murphy,
Eduardo Ortega, Jr., Mike Willis, Steve Barker, Matt Deter, Rik
Larson, Bob Peake.
OLD BUSiNESS
Minutes: The April minutes were reviewed and accepted.
Email Voting Minutes: The May 4th email vote minutes were
reviewed and accepted.
Vice-President Calendar Review: Steve reviewed the calendar
for upcoming events. Insurance for the Eureka tour is in place.
Steve will order insurance for the May and June AX events at
Mather for our new location at the West cargo ramp. Frederick
will send Steve event info for the July 16th Laguna Seca DE.
NEW BUSiNESS
E-mail Voting Criteria: Frederick proposed that the email
voting process mimic the process used at the board meetings.
Mike Willis asked what the criteria for voting by email would
be. The board agreed that only urgent issues which must be
resolved before the next board meeting will be voted on by
email.
Zone 7 Presidents Meeting: Fredrick attended the meeting
on behalf of SVR. It was announced that the Panorama editor
of 32 years is retiring. Future event dates announced include:
Parade 2013 in Travers City, Michigan and Parade 2014 in
Monterey, CA. Escape 2013 is will be in Pomona, CA. Tech
Tactics West with PCNA is coming this December. It was also
discussed that DE “Taste of the Track” events can only be low
speed laps. No high speed passenger rides are allowed at PCA
DE events.
Drifter Advertiser: David Yamada ad suggested by Kim Nelson
as a thank you to David for his excellent car care clinic. Board
discussed. Mike moved, Bob seconded a motion to provide
David a 2-unit Drifter ad.
Drifter Editor Search: Rik Larson has talked to 4 interested
club members and has also researched costs for contracting out
the layout. Rik will be talking again with Bob Jacobsen who
has expressed significant interest.
BOARD MEMBER REPORTS
Charity (Ruth Stark): No report.
Competition:
Autocross (Bob Peake): School on the 19th. Zone event on the
20th. Wings and Wheels event on June 2nd at McClellan parking
lot. The new site at Mather is huge!
Concours (Kent Brandon): No report.
Drivers Education (Frederick Rauch): No report.
Rallye (Rik Larson): No report.
Advertising (Frederick Rauch): No report.
Drifter: See new business.
Treasurer (Kirk Bradford): Detailed report sent to board
members by email.
New Members Group (Lee Deter): No report.
Goodie Store (Cookie Anderson): No report.
Membership (Mike Willis): Mike has prepared an electronic
membership roster in PDF format to replace the printed version.
This new version will be updated quarterly and distributed to all
members via email.
SVR has 605 primary members with 476 family and affiliates,
plus 8 dual members for a total of 1089.
Social (Eduardo Ortega Jr.): Rik presented his TSD rally budget
for July 1st. John moved to approve the budget, Mike seconded
and all approved. Kirk presented the Deaver 50th anniversary
event budgets. Mike moved to approve the budgets as presented,
John seconded and all approved. Eduardo presented the Canepa
tour budget. Mike moved to approve, John seconded and all
approved. Lastly, Eduardo presented the High Sierra summer tour
budget which was unanimously approved.
