Come to an informal session hosted by the Young Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Community to<br />
introduce new and old members alike to the many opportunities available in<br />
<strong>ASABE</strong>. Topics to be addresses include Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Licensure, Upper-Level<br />
Organizational Structure <strong>of</strong> <strong>ASABE</strong>, What Does the Executive Director and<br />
Staff Do, and <strong>International</strong> Opportunities for <strong>ASABE</strong> members. Refreshments<br />
will be provided. All members, especially first-time meeting attendees and<br />
prepr<strong>of</strong>essionals are invited to attend.<br />

<strong>ASABE</strong> President Ron Yoder welcomes each <strong>of</strong> you to the <strong>ASABE</strong> <strong>Annual</strong><br />
<strong>International</strong> <strong>Meeting</strong>. Our keynote speaker is Mark D. Stowers, Senior Vice<br />
Presient <strong>of</strong> Science and Technology for POET, the world’s largest ethanol<br />
producer.<br />
AEM STUDENT AWARDS LUNCH<br />

The Association <strong>of</strong> Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is once again pleased to<br />
invite all <strong>of</strong> the <strong>ASABE</strong> student members to attend the 73rd <strong>Annual</strong> AEM<br />
Student Awards Luncheon. This event is a wonderful time to learn more about<br />
the pr<strong>of</strong>essional side <strong>of</strong> the world as you dine. Luncheon reservations will be<br />
confirmed at the Prepr<strong>of</strong>essional Business <strong>Meeting</strong>. Student Branch Advisors<br />
and AEM company members are also encouraged to attend. AEM company<br />
members are asked to contact AEM directly if they wish to attend the<br />
luncheon.<br />
AGCO NATIONAL STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION<br />

The top three entries for the student design competition have been invited to<br />
this oral competition. Listen to these outstanding engineering design project<br />
presentations. Winners will be recognized at the Awards Recognition Luncheon<br />
on Wednesday.<br />

Invitations will be extended to the top three entries in the student paper<br />
competition. You can hear the authors <strong>of</strong> outstanding papers make their<br />
presentations. Come support the students from your school who may be<br />

Fountain Wars is a competition aimed at students in their sophomore and<br />
junior years <strong>of</strong> study. It provides students with hands on experience in<br />
engineering design and most importantly the students have a great time.<br />
Teams are given an hour and a half to build a fountain that completes two<br />
technical tasks and provides an aesthetic display.<br />
BOYD-SCOTT GRADUATE RESEARCH AWARD<br />

The Graduate Student Research Award (GSRA) Competition sets out to<br />
recognize excellence in the conduct and presentation <strong>of</strong> agricultural and<br />
biological engineering research carried out by graduate student members. The<br />
competition is held in two parts: a written competition and an oral<br />
presentation competition for the top three finalists in the M.S. and Ph.D.<br />
categories, which is held at the <strong>ASABE</strong> <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>International</strong> <strong>Meeting</strong>.<br />

BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT 101<br />

This session is a series <strong>of</strong> invited speakers focused on developing members’<br />
business and management skills. Outstanding industry, academic, and<br />
government employed <strong>ASABE</strong> members will share their experiences and<br />
knowledge to help develop the next generation <strong>of</strong> worldwide leaders in<br />
agricultural and biological engineering.<br />
