The lounge is a great place to relax and enjoy a cold glass of lemonade. This lounge will also be the
Spouse/Guest information center. Please find updates on events here. Coffee and tea will be served in
the morning and cold drinks in the afternoon. The lounge will be open from 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday,
Tuesday, and Wednesday. The lounge is located in Alcove C on the 2nd floor near the exhibit hall.

YPC SOCIAL OUTING – SIGHTSEEING CLIPPER
CRUISE AND DINNER
Saturday, June 19 – 3:00PM-8:00PM
Location: Meet in East Lobby of Convention Center
NOTE: The walk to the Clipper Cruise is about 1 mile through the city and
across the river. Taxi’s will post at this location for you to share a ride at your
own expense for those not wishing to walk.
Spend Saturday evening with fellow young professionals in ASABE! Join us
outside the East Lobby of the Convention Center at 3:15PM. We will arrange to
have several taxis available at this location for you to share the ride across the
river to Station Square. At Station Square, we’ll catch a Sightseeing Clipper
Cruise at 4:00PM (boards at 3:50PM), taking in the views of Pittsburgh from
the water. The captain will point out distinctive sites and provide a narration of
Pittsburgh’s history and what is hapenneing currently. After the boat docks at
5:00PM, we’ll find dinner at a restaurant nearby. Station Square is a charming
riverfront restoration of the former Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad
Headquarters and is now a popular complex housing an array of specialty
shops, boutiques and eateries. The outing is open to everyone - Senior Actives,
Student Members, International Preprofessional Council members - come join
us if you can! Preregister and save about a dollar off the dockside price.

ASABE FOUNDATION SILENT AUCTION

Location: Exhibit Hall C – 2nd Floor Exhibit Hall
A highlight of the ASABE Annual International Meeting will once again be held
in the convention center. Items will be available to bid on from all over the
world. Universities provide items representing their schools; ASABE Sections
donate baskets brimming with goodies reflecting their part of the country.
Many individuals contribute artwork, hand made gifts, books, electronic
equipment and much more. To donate, please visit www.asabe.org and click on
Foundation. The ASABE Foundation Silent Auction will be opened for bidding
beginning at 10:00AM on Sunday, June 20 and daily 8:00AM-5:00PM through
Wednesday, June 23. Bidding ends at 3:00PM on Wednesday.
PITTSBURGH CITY TOUR
Sunday, June 20 – 1:30PM – 4:30PM
Tour departs from the Convention Center. Pittsburgh's story comes alive on
this specially designed, narrated tour of one of America's most livable cities.
Interesting stories about prominent Pittsburghers, both past and present,
punctuate the narration related to historical landmarks, corporate
headquarters, fascinating architecture, and important events. Step aboard your
coach at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center and the Pittsburgh welcome
begins. A visit to the Nationality Classrooms is like a mini-tour of 23 nations in
a time-warp that transports you from 5th century B.C. Greece, through 1st
century Israel, 6th century Ireland, 15th century Italy, to 18th century Poland.
Original and recreated furnishings combine with carved stone, stained glass,
sculptured and inlaid wood to provide unforgettable glimpses of the European,
Scandinavian, Middle Eastern, African, and Asian cultures that have influenced
Pittsburgh. The tour winds through the Golden Triangle focusing on significant
developments and statuesque buildings within this compact and defined area.
PPG has been voted the nation's most interesting new building by
contemporary architects. The 40-story tower and five satellite buildings are
sheathed in reflective glass with 231 spires. Nearby are One Oxford Center,
Liberty Center, CNG Tower and Fifth Avenue Place. The tour concludes atop
Mt. Washington where the spectacular view of the whole Pittsburgh scene
unfolds – a view that prompted Frank Lloyd Wright to call this the world’s most
beautiful setting for a city. Guests may descend Mt. Washington in the
Duquesne Incline, a veritable museum on wheels.

ASABE WELCOME RECEPTION

Location: Exhibit Hall C – 2nd Floor
All meeting registrants are invited to attend our welcome recpetion. This is a
good time to network with other attendees and to make further plans for
dinner after the reception. The Pittsburgh Convention and Visitors Bureau will
have a representative available to assist you in making your dining
reservations.
YPC ALL IN GOOD FUN CONTEST

This contest is a fun way to support the Young Professionals Community while
providing laughs for all. This event is used as an icebreaker during the Fountain
Wars Event. To support your favorite contestant stop by the YPC booth.
