The Battlefield High School Marching Band, a seven-time
Virginia Honor Band, will host its inaugural
Battle Royale competition at 3:30 PM on Saturday,
October 1, 2011. We will welcome at least 15 marching
bands to this event, which promises to become a
major annual marching band competition in northern
Virginia. Admission is $5 (kids 5 and under attend
for free). Please come on out to watch some of
Virginia’s finest marching bands, and also enjoy the
Marching Bobcats’ exhibition performance!
Also, we want to thank everyone who showed their
monetary support for the band this past Tag Day
(September 10). We greatly appreciate it. If we were
unable to knock on your door and you would like
to give a tax-deductible donation (receipt available
upon request), please make checks payable to “BSO”
and send to: Band Support Organization, P.O. Box
267, Haymarket, VA 20168-0267. Every contribution
matters as we prepare for our trip to New Orleans
