state a success!
New Concessions Lead and Need for a Secretary
The BHS ABC and all of Battlefield sends a big THANK YOU to Michele Curry for all she did to support
our student athletes as head of our Concessions Committee for the past year and more. Michele has passed
the baton to Susan Coxson as Concessions Lead. Susan is the new lead for our Concessions Committee
and has the ABC Executive Board’s approval for day-to-day decisions, but needs team-rep help to schedule
concessions for the entire year. Teams earn significant funds when parents help with concessions. Contact
Susan at BHSConcessionsscoxson@gmail.com.
KEY NOTE--SECRETARY ELECTION: Susan was (is) our BHS ABC Secretary and we will be electing a
new secretary at the September meeting!! E-mail Ron Fairbanks at Fairbanks@ieee.org if you are interested.
ABC Membership Has Its Privileges
You can join the Athletic Booster Club (ABC) for as little as $25 for the year or as much as a Super Bobcat
corporate level of $1000 for the year. Benefits vary, but always 50% of your member dues go directly to
the team you designate. Concessions and Spirit Wear coupons are included at most levels; see http://www.
battlefieldboosters.org/ under Membership for details. We recommend at least the Purple level ($100) to
get great benefits or the Bobcat level ($500) to get a family of four year-long pass to all athletic events plus
other benefits.
As a member your vote counts at each meeting on how to earn and distribute our funds to best support
BHS student athletes.
ABC Scholarship
Each year the BHS ABC provides a $2000 scholarship to one male and one female student athlete. Congratulations
to Nathan Moyer and Tessa Klumpp as the 2011 Scholarship winners. Details and application
form for the 2012 Scholarship can be found at our web site under scholarships http://www.battlefieldboosters.org/scholarships/
. The deadline for the 2012 applications is May 11th, 2012 and will be accepted
at any time before that date. These funds are paid directly to the selected students.
Concession Volunteers – Your Team Needs You !
There is always a need for volunteers at the concession stands at all home games. Team parents and friends
should contact the team representative to BHS ABC or contact Susan Coxson at BHSConcessionsscoxson@gmail.com
to volunteer. Your team will earn $100 to $400 depending on the event.
Student Athletes Need Your Help!
We need volunteers to lead or be a part of the ABC Ways and Means Committee. We also need people to
be on the Spirit Wear and Concessions committees. Email Ron Fairbanks at Fairbanks@IEEE.org if interested
or for questions or come to the meetings to express interest.
