LEONA was <strong>rescue</strong>d with her sister from a family who didn’t feed or<br />
groom her properly, nor did they seek medical attention when she<br />
showed signs of illness. When Leona first came <strong>in</strong>to <strong>rescue</strong> she was<br />
filthy from liv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a cage that was rarely cleaned, had mats <strong>in</strong> her fur,<br />
was underweight, <strong>and</strong> sick from lack of care <strong>and</strong> food. After a young<br />
Ga<strong>in</strong>esville Rabbit Rescue volunteer took the rabbits home <strong>and</strong> they<br />
received proper care <strong>and</strong> love, they have thrived. Leona has been<br />
spayed <strong>and</strong> will make a great companion pet for some lucky family. For<br />

<strong>Critter</strong> Magaz<strong>in</strong>e is an <strong>animal</strong> <strong>adoption</strong> publication dedicated to<br />
improv<strong>in</strong>g the quality of life for <strong>animal</strong>s through <strong>education</strong>, support of spay/<br />
neuter efforts <strong>and</strong> encourag<strong>in</strong>g responsible pet ownership, as well as help<strong>in</strong>g<br />
to f<strong>in</strong>d lov<strong>in</strong>g homes for <strong>animal</strong>s <strong>in</strong> need. Although the majority of the <strong>animal</strong>s<br />
profiled are dogs <strong>and</strong> cats, we will feature any <strong>animal</strong> that is <strong>in</strong> need of<br />
<strong>adoption</strong>. We publish each month <strong>and</strong> distribute throughout Ga<strong>in</strong>esville <strong>and</strong><br />
Alachua, Levy, Putnam <strong>and</strong> Marion counties. Advertis<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> editorial<br />
deadl<strong>in</strong>e is the 20th of the month for the follow<strong>in</strong>g month‟ s issue. We<br />
welcome letters to the editor, comments <strong>and</strong> suggestions, as well as<br />
<strong>in</strong>formative articles <strong>and</strong> stories which are relevant to our goals.<br />
<strong>Critter</strong> cannot screen either potential adopters or <strong>animal</strong>s.<br />
We urge all parties to act responsibly <strong>in</strong> these matters.<br />
