** At the time of the CSST’s ratemaking, the cost of the For a Safe Maternity program, established on July 1, is
one of the items taken into account in the annual determination of the financial requirements to be met by employer
assessments. For the purposes of these financial statements, the cost, on July 1, 2007, of the For a Safe Maternity
program regarding preventive withdrawals in 2007 was established at $191,030,000, whereas the cost on July 1, 2006
regarding preventive withdrawals in 2006 had been established at the end of 2006 at $172,383,000.
