<strong>The</strong> remaining eight courses in a student's second/third year programme may be selected from those<br />

<strong>of</strong>fered by any department, as permitted by the regulations.<br />

It should be noted that not all courses are <strong>of</strong>fered in both departments every year.<br />

Choices are<br />

Minor in Linguistics<br />

A minor in Linguistics shall consist <strong>of</strong> 24 credit units <strong>of</strong> second and third-year courses from the<br />

Linguistics syllabus. As a pre-requisite, students must pass the first-year course LING1001.<br />

Introduction to Linguistics.
