Introduction<br />
<strong>Enclosures</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Cable</strong> Gl<strong>and</strong>s<br />
Weidmüller‘s products <strong>and</strong> services meet not only its own<br />
internal high st<strong>and</strong>ards, but also international quality <strong>and</strong> safety<br />
st<strong>and</strong>ards. The Klippon ® TB enclosure series is one of the<br />
first whose components are approved <strong>and</strong> certified as being<br />
compliant with the newly issued St<strong>and</strong>ard Series IEC /<br />
EN 60079. This series of st<strong>and</strong>ards provides a harmonised<br />
approach to the development <strong>and</strong> manufacture of equipment<br />
for use in explosive hazard areas.<br />
Weidmüller enclosures are specially tailored to meet the ever<br />
changing <strong>and</strong> extremely harsh environments of these industries.<br />
Certified in accordance with international st<strong>and</strong>ards, they also<br />
meet the new ATEX <strong>and</strong> IECEx regulations for explosive hazard<br />
areas <strong>and</strong> have further certifications for use in st<strong>and</strong>ard industrial<br />
applications. They are, of course, also safe <strong>and</strong> maintenance<br />
free! You can find innovative solutions from Weidmüller<br />
everywhere; from power distribution or control <strong>and</strong> monitoring<br />
systems in boiler <strong>and</strong> turbine control systems, in fuel<br />
management <strong>and</strong> combustion control systems, or in<br />
transmission <strong>and</strong> distribution applications.<br />
Experts in ATEX for application-specific solutions<br />
Weidmüller‘s Customer-specific Solutions division offers ATEX<br />
certified components <strong>and</strong> application-specific ATEX solutions<br />
for use in explosive hazard zones. Our competent team is here<br />
to take care of each individual customer requirement.<br />
Special measures must be taken to guarantee employee health<br />
<strong>and</strong> safety in explosive hazard areas. The European Community‘s<br />
ATEX directives (1999/92/EC <strong>and</strong> 94/9/EC) regulate this. They<br />
divide the individual hazard areas, <strong>and</strong> thereby the associated<br />
choice of explosion-proof devices, up into zones.<br />
Weidmüller‘s customer-specific production is monitored by a<br />
notified body in accordance with European regulations. It meets<br />
all the requirements of the IECEx scheme for equipment based<br />
on the st<strong>and</strong>ards of the International Electrotechnical<br />
Commission.<br />
