4.4.1 Gain / (loss) due to distribution losses
The Commission had approved the distribution loss at 12.45% in the MYT order and
in the Tariff order for FY 2010-11 against the actual loss of 11.96%submitted by
DGVCL.
The total gains / (losses) on account of lower distribution loss are computed in the
Table below:

As can be seen from the above, the total gain on account of lower distribution losses
is to the tune of Rs. 21.96 Crore.
The total gain on account of lower distribution losses as submitted by DGVCL is Rs.
25 Crore and as computed by the Commission is Rs. 21.96 Crore. The DGVCL has
computed the gain on account of lower distribution loss by considering the
distribution losses as approved in the Tariff order as well as in the MYT order at
12.45%.
