This program is aimed at assisting children who have
graduated from our school to transition successfully
to a self-sufficient useful adulthood. We provide
assistance with placement for work experience; help
in admission to professional institutions and finally
financial support and loans through a small corpus
that we own and through finding sponsorship support.
We have 48 students graduated from our school till
this year end. The first two batches have completed
their tertiary studies and all of them have their sights
on careers. Since all of them are prepared for careers,
children have pursued becoming tourism professionals,
Chefs, Chartered accountants, software and hardware
engineers and teachers.
Mr. Anoop Seth supports two of our students and is also
supporting Ankit Naudiyal in his B.Tech Programme.
• Work experience for about 45 days is arranged
for all children who complete their 12th. We assist
by linking children with an office or an industry
as appropriate. We notice that this gives them a
sense of pride and confidence, and a new maturity
and independence.
• About ten of the students belonging to this group
have been given loans and encouraged to pursue
higher education. A few others have enjoyed
financial support and scholarships in the past
years. We still need to strengthen this arrangement
so that we should be able to confidently implement
this programme in the future.
• During the current year sponsorship support has
been found for Meenakshi Pal. Two sponsors have
chosen to not only finance her college education
(BBA) but also fund her living expenses during this
period.
• Scholarship support has been provided to Swati
Pundir again this year by the Khemka Foundation
to enable her to pursue her BBA.
• An international scholarship of US$ 10,000 per
year has been won by Kritika Kumari from the
Asian University for Women, Chittagong for a
period of 5 years.
• Career Counseling is given to all students from
Class 9 upwards and they are helped to select a
career path and a suitable professional programme.
• Help is provided for admission into one of the
professional Institutions. Help is also provided for
applying to various scholarship programs. Small
interest free and security free loans have been
given to more than 10 students to enable them
pursue these goals.
• A Small Corpus Fund has been created and this
is meant to provide interest free and security free
loans to these students and help them to pursue a
good professional programme.
