Financial Statement Analysis
Internal Audit and half yearly audit introduced: The society has appointed an internal auditor and internally
audited accounts are now placed on our website every quarter. The society’s auditor certifies our accounts
twice each half year, instead of only annually.
Donation Received
• Donation Rose by 33%.
• Indian Contributions by 23%
• Foreign Contributions by 48%
• Donations rose due to better transparency, accountability and credibility. Our Vision of targeting the poorest
and helping them achieve excellence is also perceived positively
Analysis of Utilisation
Absolute figure of administrative expenses went up during the year due to the transition into the running of a
whole time day boarding in house school for the first time. Further, we have excluded expenses of a sum of
Rs. 16, 44,540/- (fixed assets, cash and raw materials donated to the Purkal Stree Shakti), a new Society spun
out of the existing society. Our existing division became a different Society as shown in the Balance Sheet. It
also excludes a sum of Rs. 1, 65,000/- expended against a specific donation received for the printing of the
annual calendar.
