Red Sox Manawatu found it tough going in Series
One, with a comprehensive 5-1 victory over bottom of
the table Christchurch Futsal in the last game of the
weekend the team’s only points in the Series.
Lead by former Youngheart Manawatu players Murray
Burling and Dalin Wilson, Red Sox will be targeting
victories over Christchurch Futsal, East City and
Football South Futsal as a minimum requirement in
order to keep their playoff hopes alive.
With 2010 Futsal White training squad danger men
Nat Wright and Patrick Pilz and in-form target Greg
O’Connor all available for Series Two, the combative
Red Sox are likely be a much tougher prospect in
Dunedin this weekend.
