WORKSHOPS
REDUCING RISK THROUGH IMPROVED INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
The ASA and the ANZCA in association with the Cognitive Institute is offering an intensive 1 day
program designed to give a thorough understanding of the issues surrounding risks and provide you
with proven, practical skills in building rapport, achieving consent, managing expectations and
handling discussions when things go wrong.
A highlight of the day is working with professional actors and coaches in small groups to practise these
skills, particularly in dealing with upset and angry patients and families.

COOLUM, SUNSHINE COAST Wednesday 19 September 2006
CPD POINTS Each workshop has been approved under the ANZCA MOPS Program for 21 CME and 19
QA points under Code 700. The approval number is 04120.
EDUCATION SUBSIDY MIPS, MIAG and MDA Victoria will sponsor the workshops and in some
instances subsidise members’ registration fees. Please see the registration forms (when distributed) for
further details.
