Come join Bhakti Butter�y yoga. This program focuses<br />
on the fundamentals of yoga, while promoting<br />
relaxation, posture, and concentration. Participants will<br />
follow a visual schedule and routine each week and<br />
learn a variety of yoga poses and combinations. Don’t<br />
forget to sign up for Autism Movement Therapy®<br />
(page 19), which will run immediately before this<br />
program.<br />
GOALS: Increase social engagement and eye contact.<br />
Enhance posture and muscle tone. Improve motor<br />

<strong>NSSRA</strong> GYM NIGHT<br />
Are you looking for a night out with your friends? Come<br />
check out Gym Night! Every week, we will head to the<br />
gym where we will enjoy a pick-up game of the group’s<br />
choice. When we are done, we will head out to grab a<br />
bite to eat. All sports played will be team sports and will<br />
be decided by the group the week before. Everyone<br />
should wear athletic clothes and shoes. Athletes should<br />
bring $10 for dinner.<br />
GOALS: Improve social interaction and teamwork skills.<br />

THEATRE ARTS<br />
In this program, you will have the opportunity to explore<br />
all the di�erent avenues of play production. Each person<br />
will have the chance to be involved in every aspect of<br />
creating a play. We will focus on script writing, character<br />
assignments, costume making and much more! If<br />
appropriate, the group may even leave the program<br />
site to shop for pieces of clothing to personalize their<br />
costumes. SAVE THE DATE! The �nal performance will<br />
be at <strong>NSSRA</strong>’s 4th Annual Cultural Arts Open House<br />
on November 29!<br />
GOALS: Increase socialization among peers. Discover<br />
a new recreation interest. Increase knowledge of the<br />
di�erent aspects of stage theater.<br />

AFTERNOON ROLLERS<br />
Grab your friends and let’s roll out for some fun! This<br />
is your chance to get out of the house and hang out<br />
with your friends, old and new. Over the course of the<br />
season, the group will have the opportunity to play<br />
adapted sports, cook, create craft projects and socialize<br />
with peers. On three of the program dates, the group<br />
will venture out into the community to explore (a more<br />
comprehensive schedule will be sent out with program<br />
con�rmations). Join us for the fun! This program is<br />
designed speci�cally for individuals with physical<br />
impairments who use wheelchairs or are ambulatory.<br />
GOALS: Initiate interactions with others and foster<br />
socialization among peers. Develop knowledge of<br />
community resources and increase ability to selfadvocate.<br />
