for RNs. The master’s program also has two tracks: nursing educator and acute/critical<br />

care nursing of the adult. The doctoral programs have three tracks: education, ethics, and<br />

clinical scholarship.<br />

The College of Continuing and Professional Studies (Macon, <strong>Atlanta</strong>, Regional<br />

Academic Centers)<br />

Established in January of 2003, the College of Continuing and Professional Studies<br />

is committed to serving adult learners with distinctive interdisciplinary undergraduate and<br />

graduate degree programs that integrate theory and practice in unique ways. The college’s<br />

faculty and professional support staff are committed to offering quality learning<br />

experiences and the personal attention and support that will enable nontraditional learners<br />

to achieve their educational and career goals.<br />

The college serves 750 students and offers undergraduate degrees in criminal justice,<br />

human services, information systems, liberal studies, and organization leadership,<br />

as well as general education offerings, in <strong>Atlanta</strong>, Douglas County, Eastman, Henry<br />

County, and Macon. On the graduate level, the College of Continuing and Professional<br />

Studies offers master’s degree programs in counseling, school counseling and public<br />

safety leadership. More than 1,500 students enroll in non-credit programs that include the<br />

Public Safety Leadership Institute and information technology certifications.<br />

Association of Colleges and Schools to award the baccalaureate, master's, and doctorate<br />
