Are you a teenager looking for a fun, safe place to hang out with your<br />

friends The Teen Center is a home away from home for all Fairport/<br />

<strong>Perinton</strong> teens. Check out our new programs <strong>and</strong> special events. We’d<br />

love to see you there. This is an adult-supervised, teen-oriented program.<br />

Pre-registration is required at <strong>Perinton</strong> <strong>Recreation</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Parks</strong>.<br />

All programs are held at the Lions Den Teen Center, unless<br />

otherwise specified, 53 West Church Street, Fairport (behind<br />

Potter Memorial)<br />

Army Adoption Committee<br />

The Teen Center sends care packages <strong>and</strong> cards to soldiers <strong>and</strong> their<br />

platoons stationed overseas on a regular basis. We want our adopted<br />

troops to know how much we appreciate the sacrifices that they are<br />

making for our country. If you are interested in helping with the mailing<br />

costs for this project, bottles <strong>and</strong> cans can be taken to the EZ Bottle <strong>and</strong><br />

Can Return, which is located at 1259 Fairport Road, <strong>and</strong> ask that the return<br />

be designated to the Lions Den Teen Center account, or contact Julie Eble<br />

at lionsdentc@gmail.com for more information.<br />

Lions Den Teen Center Advisory Board<br />

<strong>Perinton</strong> <strong>Recreation</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Parks</strong> has established a Teen Advisory Board<br />

(TAB). Junior TAB is for grades 6-9. Senior TAB is for grades 10-12. There<br />

is also a Parent/Community Member Advisory Board (PCAB). PCAB works<br />

with TAB to make the Lions Den Teen Center a safe place where respect,<br />

honesty <strong>and</strong> responsibility are core values. We will continue to empower<br />

our teens by allowing them to implement programs <strong>and</strong> activities of their<br />

choice. Also, we will continue to foster healthy choices <strong>and</strong> healthy<br />

lifestyles, <strong>and</strong> will ensure that the Lions Den Teen Center remains a Drug<br />

Free/Alcohol Free/Violence Free Zone.<br />

Community Service Hours<br />

The Teen Center <strong>and</strong> the <strong>Perinton</strong> Community Center are always looking<br />

for teens interested in community service hours. If you would like to<br />

volunteer for special events at the <strong>Perinton</strong> Community Center like the<br />

Egg Hunt, Teen Spring Park Clean up <strong>and</strong>/or others, please contact Julie<br />

Eble to have your name <strong>and</strong> email address added to the community<br />

service volunteer list.<br />

Saturday Activity Night Program<br />

Grades: 6-9 (entering in <strong>Fall</strong> 2013)<br />

Content:<br />

The Teen Center is open on Saturday evenings for teens to<br />

enjoy Nintendo Wii, Just Dance, pool, ping pong, foosball,<br />

watching movies <strong>and</strong> doing fun activities with their friends.<br />

Weekly themes are offered. A ONE-TIME REGISTRATION<br />

AND FEE PER SCHOOL YEAR IS REQUIRED TO BECOME A<br />

TEEN CENTER MEMBER WITH THIS REGISTRATION CODE.<br />

This is an open mic event for Fairport/<strong>Perinton</strong> teens<br />

to showcase their musical talent. Teens interested in<br />

performing should contact Julie Eble at lionsdentc@gmail.<br />

com to be scheduled. A one-time registration per school<br />

year is required for students either to perform or to attend<br />

all events. B<strong>and</strong>s must provide their own equipment <strong>and</strong> can<br />

start setting up at 6:30 PM.<br />
