مرحباً‏ بكم يف اآخر عدد من نرشة البيان
كما كنتم تتوقعون،‏ فاإن املقال الرئيسي لهذا العدد هو تعيني رئيس جديد ملجلس
اإدارة ‏رشكة األبا والجتماع الذي عقده لحقاً‏ مع الرئيس التنفيذي واأعضاء الإدارة
العليا للرشكة.‏
ويعترب هذا العدد اأيضاً‏ املناسبة الثانية التي نقوم فيها يف األبا بالحتفال باإجناز
خمسة ماليني ‏ساعة عمل بدون وقوع حوادث مضيعة للوقت.‏ وميثل هذا الجناز
رقماً‏ قياسياً‏ جديداً‏ يف السالمة على مستوى العامل يحتذي به الآخرون.‏ وما يعزز من
اأهمية هذا الجناز هو اأننا استطعنا حتقيقه ليس مرة،‏ بل مرتني.‏
ولكن هذا ل يعني اأننا يف األبا نعمل طوال الوقت دون تسلية وترفيه.‏ ويف هذا العدد
تقراأون عن تذاكر اجلائزة الكربى لطريان اخلليج البحرين التي قمنا بتوزيعها على
كل واحد من موظفينا ومشاركتهم وانتصاراتهم الالحقة يف عملية جمع التربعات
لسباق القوارب السنوي.‏
ويحدوين الأمل اأن تستمتعوا بقراءة هذا العدد من نرشة البيان واكرر طلبي منكم اأن
تزودونا باآرائكم واقرتاحاتكم.‏

Welcome to the latest issue of Albayan.
As you must have already gathered, in this issue, the cover story is
about the appointment of new Chairman of the Alba Board of Directors
and his subsequent meeting with the Chief Executive and the members
of the Executive Management Team.
This issue also marks the second time we, at Alba, celebrate the
achievement of five million working hours without a single Lost Time
Injury. It’s an achievement that has set a new safety standard for the
world to follow and the fact that we have managed it not once but twice
only makes it all the more significant.
At Alba however its not all work and no play – and in this issue you can
read about the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix tickets we distributed among
each of our employees and their participation – and subsequent
victories – in the annual Raft Race fund raiser.
I hope you enjoy reading this issue of Albayan – and again, please do
let me know what you think.

visits Alba,
meets with its Executive
Management Team
The newly appointed Chairman of the Alba
Board of Directors Mahmood Al Kooheji visited
the smelter to meet with Chief Executive
Ahmed Saleh Al Noaimi and members of the
Executive Management Team. The visit follows
Al Kooheji’s appointment by the Bahrain
Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) on
Wednesday, 16 April 2008) as the new Alba
Chairman. At the outset, Al Kooheji expressed
his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King
Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness the
Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al
Khalifa and His Highness the Crown Prince
and Bahrain Economic Development Board
Chairman Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa
for their support and guidance and the trust put
in him by our leaders with this appointment.
He also praised the contributions made by the
outgoing Alba Chairman, Dr. Esam bin Abdulla
Fakhro. Al Kooheji, who is also Mumtalakat
Deputy Chief Executive and Chairman of the
Gulf Air Board of Directors, reviewed Alba’s
performance with the Executive Management
Team as well as the workflow and the various
processes within the organisation. He later
said he was impressed with Alba’s world
record-breaking achievements, its remarkable
safety records and its resolute commitment
both to protecting the environment and to
contributing to the sustainable growth of the
Kingdom of Bahrain. “I am pleased to note
Alba’s prominent position on the world industrial
stage and I am confident that we will be able to
continue the smelter’s dramatic history of
continuous improvement,” said Al Kooheji.
“Alba has – and continues to play – a major
role in Bahrain’s social, economic and industrial
development and I honoured to be able to
contribute to this already impressive success
story,” he said. The Alba Executive
Management Team welcomed the visit and
said they were pleased to note Al Kooheji’s
commitment to maintaining and nurturing open
dialogue. “The members of the Executive
Management Team outlined the workflow within
Alba and each offered the Chairman and a
detailed overview into their areas of operation,”
said Al Noaimi. “Each member of the Executive
Management Team is equally committed to
supporting Al Koheeji and we are confident that
we will be able to work together to continue
Alba’s dramatic success story,” he said. Al
Kooheji holds a Master’s in Business
Administration from Henley College at Brunel
University, UK and a Bachelor’s degree in
mechanical engineering from Staffordshire
University, also in the UK.

ويلتقي بالإدارة التنفيذية
قام السيد حممود الكوهجي،‏ الذي مت تعيينه موؤخراً‏ رئيساً‏ ملجلس
اإدارة ‏رشكة األبا،‏ بزيارة للرشكة،‏ حيث التقى بالرئيس التنفيذي
للرشكة،‏ السيد اأحمد ‏صالح النعيمي،‏ واأعضاء الإدارة التنفيذية
بالرشكة.‏ وقد جاءت هذه الزيارة اإثر القرار الذي ‏صدر من ‏رشكة
ممتلكات البحرين القابضة يوم الأربعاء املاضي املوافق 16 اأبريل
2008 والذي مت مبوجبه تعيني السيد حممود هاشم الكوهجي
رئيساً‏ ملجلس اإدارة األبا.‏ وهو اأيضاً‏ نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لرشكة
ممتلكات ورئيس جملس اإدارة ‏رشكة طريان اخلليج.‏ وقد استعرض
اأعضاء الإدارة التنفيذية مع رئيس جملس الإدارة املستوى الذي
وصلت اإليه األبا،‏ وطبيعة العمل فيها،‏ وكذلك العمليات املختلفة
يف الرشكة.‏ واأعرب ‏سيادته عن اإعجابه باإجنازات األبا التي حطمت
الأرقام القياسية عاملياً،‏ واإجنازاتها املتميزة يف جمال السالمة،‏
وحرصها والتزامها الدائمني بحماية البيئة وباملساهمة يف
حتقيق النمو املستدام ململكة البحرين.‏ كما اأعرب ‏سيادته اأيضاً‏
عن بالغ ‏شكره وتقديره لصاحب اجلاللة امللك حمد بن عيسى
اآل خليفة عاهل البالد املفدى،‏ وصاحب السمو الشيخ خليفة بن
‏سلمان اآل خليفة رئيس الوزراء املوقر،‏ وصاحب السمو الشيخ
‏سلمان بن حمد اآل خليفة ويل العهد ورئيس جملس اإدارة جملس
التنمية القتصادية لدعم وتوجيهات ‏سموهم،‏ كما اأشاد ‏سعادته
باملساهمات التي قدمها رئيس جملس الإدارة السابق الدكتور
عصام بن عبداهلل فخرو اأثناء فرتة رئاسته ملجلس اإدارة الرشكة.‏
وبهذه املناسبة،‏ ‏رصح السيد حممود الكوهجي قائالً:‏ ‏“يسعدين
الإشارة اإىل املركز املرموق الذي حتتله ‏رشكة البا على خارطة
العامل الصناعية،‏ واإنني واثق باأننا ‏سوف نتمكن من مواصلة هذه
الإجنازات التاريخية التي متيزت بها الرشكة على مدى تاريخها
الطويل”.‏ واأضاف الكوهجي:‏ ‏“لقد لعبت ‏رشكة األبا ول تزال دوراً‏
رائداً‏ يف دفع عجلة التنمية الجتماعية،‏ القتصادية،‏ والصناعية،‏
واإنني لأشعر بالفخر لإتاحة الفرصة لأن يكون يل دور فعال يف
هذه الرشكة العريقة والناجحة”.‏
وقد رحب اأعضاء الإدارة التنفيذية للرشكة بزيارة رئيس جملس
الإدارة،‏ كما اأشار الأعضاء من خالل حديثهم معه على اتباع ‏سياسة
احلوار املفتوح.‏ كما ‏رصح الرئيس التنفيذي السيد اأحمد ‏صالح
النعيمي قائالً:”‏ لقد قدم فريق الإدارة التنفيذية ‏رشحاً‏ مفصالً‏
لرئيس جملس الإدارة عن عمليات النتاج كالً‏ حسب موقعه،‏ كما
اأن اأعضاء الإدارة التنفيذية ملتزمون بنفس القدر مبساندة السيد
حممود الكوهجي يف مهام عمله اجلديد للمحافظة على استمرار
اإجنازات األبا”.‏ وجدير بالذكر اأن ‏سعادة السيد حممود الكوهجي
حاصل على ‏شهادة املاجستري يف اإدارة الأعمال من كلية هينلي
بجامعة برونل باململكة املتحدة،‏ وشهادة البكالريوس يف الهندسة
امليكانيكية من جامعة ‏ستافوردشاير باململكة املتحدة اأيضاً.‏

Alba Board of Directors praises
2007 achievements
The Alba Board of Directors reviewed the Company’s
2007 performance and praised its outstanding financial
and production figures as well as its remarkable safety
achievements which included setting a new safety
world record by recording, for the second time, five
million working hours without a single Lost Time Injury.
The remarks were made following the 109th meeting
of the Alba Board of Directors which was chaired by
Dr. Esam bin Abdula Fakhro and held at the Ritz-
Carlton Hotel in Bahrain. The Board approved the
2007 closing accounts of Alba and Alma, and reviewed
the achievements on the five key performance
indicators that were applied in the company’s strategy;
safety, people, environment, cost and productivity,
which supports the future strategic plan of the company
to ensure sustainable and secure growth to the
Kingdom’s national economy. The Board also reviewed
the 2008 budget and business plan that was
recommended by the executive management in the
previous meeting, and the Board members provided
their comments, support, and guidance to the
management in order to face the challenges and
changes in the international markets.
The Board reviewed the merging process of operations
and marketing, and converting Alma accounts into
Alba’s, which was successfully completed in January
2008, and operate as one company with unified
accounts. They also hailed the quick and professional
merging process, reviewed the marketing systems,
and proposed new systems in the upcoming phase, to
match Alba’s position as one of the largest modern
aluminium smelter in the world and comply with the
advanced international regulations regarding governing
companies. They reviewed major role that Alba plays
in terms of community service activities that supports
the civil organizations and is part of Alba’s commitment
towards the society. The Board meeting was attended
by Bahrain Government representatives; Dr. Esam bin
Abdulla Fakhro, Fawzi Ahmed Kanoo, Mahmood
Hashim Al Kooheji, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin
Ahmed Al Khalifa, Osama Mohammed Al Arrayed, and
David Meen, SABIC representatives HE Mohammed
bin Hamad Al Madhi, Mutlaq bin Hamad Al Muraishad,
and Ebrahim Al Saad Showai’er, and German
shareholder Breton Investments representatives Urs
Bergmann, as well as Alba Chief Executive Ahmed Al
Noaimi, Alba Deputy Chief Executive Mahmood Al
Daylami and Finance and Legal General Manager Tim
Murray. The board members expressed sincere thanks
and appreciation for the strong support of Bahrain’s
leadership, headed by His Majesty King Hamad bin
Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness the Prime Minister Shaikh
Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Highness the
Crown Prince and Commander-in-Chief of the BDF
Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The Board also
expressed their appreciation for the constant support
of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques, His Majesty King Abdulla bin Abdul Aziz Al
Saud, through their representative, Sabic.
The Board also praised the employees’ productivity
and outstanding dedication throughout the year, on the
national and regional levels, which had a great impact
on positioning out Alba on the world map.
“We are pleased with the Board’s praise of the
company’s achievements and their satisfaction with its
performance,” said Al Noaimi. “We also appreciate
their guidance to develop productivity and raise
employee morale,” he said.
Al Noaimi also emphasized the fact that these
directions will be taken into account by the executive
management for the coming phase to cope with the
company’s five year business strategic plan.”

جملس اإدارة األبا يشيد بنتائج
العام 2007
اأشاد ‏سعادة الدكتور عصام بن عبد اهلل فخرو،‏ رئيس جملس
اإدارة ‏رشكة األبا،‏ بالنتائج املالية والإنتاجية والسالمة
املتميزة للرشكة خالل العام املاضي،‏ بعد اأن تراأس يوم
اأمس جلسة الجتماع التاسع بعد املائة ملجلس اإدارة الرشكة
بفندق الريتز كارلتون.‏ وقد استعرض املجلس الإجنازات
الأخرية يف الرشكة وما حققته من اإجناز عاملي جديد يف
السالمة بلغ 5 ماليني ‏ساعة دون اإصابات مضيعة للوقت
للمرة الثانية يف تاريخ الرشكة.‏ واأضاف ‏سعادة الدكتور
فخرو قائالً:‏ " لقد مت خالل الجتماع اإعتماد احلسابات
اخلتامية للعام 2007، لكل من األبا واأملا،‏ بالإضافة اإىل
استعراض مقاييس الأداء اخلمسة التي كانت تعتمد عليها
اإسرتاتيجية الرشكة وهي السالمة،‏ املوارد البرشية،‏ البيئة،‏
الكلفة والإنتاجية والتي وصلت اإىل مستويات متقدمة
‏ساهمت يف تعزيز اخلطط السرتاتيجية املستقبلية لضمان
استمرارية مساهمة األبا يف دعم وتطوير القتصاد الوطني يف
مملكة البحرين ودفعه اإىل النمو املستمر".‏ وقد قام املجلس
مبراجعة ميزانية العام احلايل وخطة العمل التي تقدمت بها
الإدارة يف الإجتماع السابق واأبدى مالحظاته ومساندته
وتوجيهاته لالإدارة ملواجهة التحديات واملتغريات التي
تشهدها الأسواق العاملية.‏ كما اأطلع املجلس كذلك على دمج
عمليات التشغيل والتسويق وحتويل كامل حسابات اأملا اإىل
‏رشكة األبا والتي متت بكل ‏سالسة منذ 1 يناير العام اجلاري،‏
حيث تعمل الرشكة الأن كرشكة جتارية بحتة بحسابات
موحدة . وقد اأشاد املجلس بالرسعة واملهنية التي متت بها
عملية الدمج.‏ كما متت مراجعة الأنظمة التابعة لعمليات
التسويق واإعداد اأنظمة جديدة للمرحلة القادمة،‏ مبا يتناسب
ومكانة األبا كاأحد اأكرب املصاهر احلديثة لصناعة الأملنيوم
يف العامل و مبا يتماشى والأنظمة العاملية املتطورة حول
حوكمة الرشكات.‏ كما اأشاد املجلس بالدور البارز للرشكة
يف فعاليات خدمة املجتمع املتنوعة التي تساهم يف
دعم الأنشطة والفعاليات التي تقيمها موؤسسات املجتمع
املدين،‏ كجزء من التزام األبا الثابت بالعمل مبسوؤوليتها
نحو املجتمع.‏ حرض الجتماع ممثلي حكومة البحرين،‏
وهم الدكتور عصام بن عبد اهلل فخرو رئيس جملس الإدارة،‏
والسادة فوزي اأحمد كانو،‏ حممود هاشم الكوهجي،‏ الشيخ
حممد بن خليفة اآل خليفة،‏ اأسامة حممد العريض،‏ وديفيد
مني،‏ بالإضافة اإىل ممثل ‏رشكة ‏سابك لالستثمارات،‏ ‏سعادة
السيد حممد املاضي،‏ والسيد مطلق املريشد،‏ والسيد اإبراهيم
الشويعر وكذلك ممثل ‏رشكة بريتون لالستثمارات،‏ برجيمات
روسايز.‏ كما وحرض الجتماع السيد اأحمد ‏صالح النعيمي
الرئيس التنفيذي لرشكة األبا وحممود الديلمي نائب الرئيس
التنفيذي،‏ ومت موري مدير عام الشئون املالية والقانونية.‏
وقد اأعرب ‏سعادة الدكتور عصام بن عبد اهلل فخرو عن بالغ
‏شكره وامتنانه لدعم حكومة البحرين،‏ وعلى راأسها حرضة
‏صاحب اجلاللة امللك حمد بن عيسى اآل خليفة عاهل البالد
املفدى،‏ وصاحب السمو الشيخ خليفة بن ‏سلمان اآل خليفة
رئيس الوزراء املوقر،‏ وصاحب السمو الشيخ ‏سلمان بن
حمد اآل خليفة ويل العهد القائد العام لقوة دفاع البحرين.‏
كما اأعرب الدكتور فخرو عن امتنانه للدعم املتواصل من
حكومة خادم احلرمني الرشيفني جاللة امللك عبداهلل بن
عبد العزيز اآل ‏سعود.‏ كما قدم رئيس جملس الإدارة ‏شكره
لرشكة ‏سابك وجميع ممثليها على دعمهم الدائم.‏ كما اأشاد
باإنتاجية العمال واإخالصهم يف اأداء اأعمال املصهر التي
برزت خالل العام،‏ على املستوى املحلي والأقليمي مما كان
له الأثر البالغ يف اإبراز ‏رشكة األبا بدوره ‏رصح السيد اأحمد
‏صالح النعيمي قائالً:‏ ‏"اإننا ‏سعداء باإشادة جملس الإدارة
باإجنازات الرشكة ورضاهم عن املستوى الذي وصلت اإليه
والذي كان نتيجة للجهد املتواصل من جميع العاملني يف
الرشكة بروح الفريق الواحد.‏ واأضاف باأن الإدارة التنفيذية
تثمن عالياً‏ توجيهات جملس الإدارة السديدة لتطوير
الإنتاجية وتشجيع املوظفني".‏

Alba marks safety milestone, distributes
BD75 reward to each employee
Alba celebrated - for the second time - the
completion of five million working hours without a
single lost time injury (LTI) and distributed more
than quarter a million Bahrain Dinars among its
employees in recognition of and in appreciation for
their achievement. Alba had started the year in
2007 by setting a new world safety record when it
recorded five million hours without an LTI - and had
gone on to break that record later that same year
by recording more than nine million hours without
an LTI. Alba’s latest safety achievement puts it
among the world best - but the goal is not, and
never was, to set world records said the Alba Chief
Executive Ahmed Saleh Al Noaimi. “We celebrate
another outstanding achievement for the entire
plant,” said Al Noaimi. “This historic achievement, a
direct result of our long-term commitments to safety
and constant investments on our safety systems,
was only made possible by the unfaltering efforts
and continuing contributions of each and every
Alba employee,” he said. “This record-breaking
safety achievements follows the commissioning of
our Line5, the longest reduction line in the world, in
a world record breaking time of 77 days without a
single LTI to earn international praise and
recognition for the world’s fastest and safety startup,”
said Al Noaimi. “These outstanding
achievements represent the level of awareness and
expertise of all Alba employees and their
commitment to safety rules and regulations at all
work areas,” he said. “The Alba Board of Directors
and the Executive Management Team greatly
appreciate this achievement,” said Al Noaimi. “To
congratulate the employees on achieving the 5
million hour milestone without an LTI, they decided
to present every single one with a BD75 award,” he
said. “The real reward that safety brings is to be
able to go back home to our families and loved
ones in safety,” he added. “I hope this award helps
further motivate each of us to strive for further
achievements,” said Al Noaimi. “I believe these
achievement emphasize the success of the many
safety campaigns like the mini Safety, Health
Environment (SHE) weeks that are organized by
the different departments in the company around
the year to increase the safety awareness among
employees in all areas,” he said.

توزع حوايل ربع مليون دينار على موظفيها

اأحتفلت ‏رشكة األبا بتحقيق 5 ماليني ‏ساعة عمل دون حوادث مضيعة للوقت للمرة الثانية يف تاريخ الرشكة،‏ ومت توزيع حوايل ربع مليون
دينار مكافئة على جميع املوظفني بهذه املناسبة تقديراً‏ من جملس اإدارة الرشكة على حتقيق هذا الإجناز.‏ وكانت الرشكة قد حققت مع
مطلع العام اجلاري الرقم القياسي 5 ماليني ‏ساعة،‏ وتواصل حتى وصل اإىل 9 ماليني ‏ساعة وهو الرقم القياسي العاملي الذي مل يحققه اأحد
من قبل،‏ والآن يتم مواصلة هذا الإجناز يف الوقت الذي اأكد الرئيس التنفيذي للرشكة اأن هدف من السالمة ليس حتطيم الأرقام القياسية،‏
واإمنا اأن تكون السالمة حارضة يف جميع مواقع العمل واحلياة.‏ وبهذه املناسبة ‏رصح الرئيس التنفيذي السيد اأحمد ‏صالح النعيمي قائال:"‏
من جديد نعود لالإحتفال باإجناز مميز لعموم املصنع بتحقيق 5 ماليني ‏ساعة عمل دون حوادث مضيعة للوقت،‏ وهو اإجناز يضاف اإىل
الإجنازات العديدة التي حققتها الرشكة والتي ‏ساهم اجلميع يف اإجنازها خاصة بعد تدشني خط الصهر اخلامس الذي يعترب اإجنازا عامليا
يف التشغيل الآمن خالل 77 يوما وهو يعترب الأرسع يف العامل،‏ مما يدل على مدى الوعي الكبري الذي يتمتع به جميع موظفي الرشكة
واإلتزامهم برشوط السالمة يف جميع مواقع العمل".‏ واأضاف النعيمي:"‏ اأن جملس الإدارة والإدارة التنفيذية تقدر هذا الإجناز وتهنئ جميع
العاملني يف الرشكة على حتقيق 5 ماليني ‏ساعة دون حوادث مضيعة للوقت،‏ وقد قررت ‏رصف مكافئة لكل فرد من موظفيها بقيمة 75
ديناراً،‏ على اأن تكون حافزا لتحقيق اإجنازات اأخرى قادمة يف ‏شتى املجالت،‏ وهو ما يوؤكد اأيضا جناح اأسابيع السالمة التي تقام بني
الدوائر ‏ضمن برنامج زمني هادف اإىل زيادة الوعي بني املوظفني والذي يقام حتت ‏شعار اأسبوع السالمة والصحة والبيئة يف جميع اأرجاء
الرشكة".‏ ‏"لقد بذلت الرشكة جهودا كثرية من اأجل اأن تكون السالمة حارضة يف جميع اأرجائها،‏ من خالل وجود فريق متكامل من املدربني
املوؤهلني القادرين على اإيصال مفهوم السالمة الشاملة يف مواقع العمل،‏ وتهيئة البيئة املثلى للعمال بشكل اآمن يف الرشكة عرب برامج

Alba distributes 3,000 F1 tickets to employees
Alba distributed more than three thousand tickets for Gulf Air Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix
among its employees. The move is in line with the company’s long standing commitment both
to its employees and to supporting the Kingdom’s development.
“Hosting one of the world’s most exciting sporting events has earned Bahrain tremendous
international exposure,” said Alba Public Relations Manager, Dr. Khalid Bomatia. “This is an
achievement we are all proud of and we are pleased to help contribute to the success of this
important event,” he said.

يف اململكة واأتاحة الفرصة للموظفني للمشاركة يف هذا احلدث الرياضي الهام.‏ كما اأشار
اأحد املسئولني يف حلبة البحرين الدولية اأن هذه اخلطوة هي الأكرب من نوعها التي يقدمها
القطاع اخلاص ملوظفيه يف البحرين.‏ وبهذه املناسبة ‏رصح الدكتور خالد جاسم بومطيع

“Alba is also firmly committed to constantly improving
employee satisfaction,” said Dr. Bomatia. “It is a
commitment we take very seriously and our Strategic
Plan identifies employee satisfaction as one of our
five Key Performance Indicators,” he said. “Financing
tickets for every single one of our employees is one
of the many ways we try to show our appreciation to
our people,” said Dr. Bomatia. “We believe that in
doing so we support both our employees and the
development of motorsports in the Kingdom,” he said.
Alba had two years ago also distributed 3,000 tickets
to its employees in a move that was described by the
Bahrain International Circuit chief operation officer,
Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa as “the largest
campaign of its kind to be organised by a private
company for its employees in Bahrain”.

Alba’s longest serving employee joins the
CEO to plant the smelter’s
4,000th tree
The longest serving Alba employee together with
the smelter’s Chief Executive planted the 4,000th
tree in the plant’s oasis. The tree planting ceremony
coincided with the Kingdom’s celebrations of Arbour
Day and marks yet another increase in greenery at
the plant as part of the Company’s efforts to protect
the environment. Alba celebrates Arbour Day to
help boost employee and public awareness of the
importance of protecting the environment. Alba has,
so far, planted trees in various areas across the
plant with the total number adding up to about 20
hectares - or about 10 percent of the plant’s total
area - with the oasis alone spanning nine hectares
and featuring 500 species of trees and shrubs.
Plans are also already underway to plant trees in
another 15 hectares of open space around the
plant. Ali Abdulla Juma’, Alba’s longest serving
employee, who works in the Maintenance Services
Department, planted the 4,000th tree in the plant
oasis alongside Chief Executive Ahmed Saleh Al
Noaimi. Other members of the executive
management team, department managers and
members of the Environment and Occupational
Health Department each also planted a tree in the
oasis. “I am delighted with this major achievement,”
said Al Noaimi, “and I must acknowledge the efforts
of the employees which have put Alba at the front
in environmental protection and enhanced its status

وتهدف ‏رشكة األبا من هذه الإحتفالية لأهميتها البيئية والتي تدخل
‏ضمن ‏سلسلة الإجنازات،‏ فقد مت حتى الآن تشجري اأكرث من 20 هكتاراً‏
من الأراضي اخلالية يف املناطق املختلفة باملصنع مبا يعادل %10 من
جمموع مساحة املصنع،‏ مع وجود خطط مستقبلية لزراعة باقي املناطق
اخلالية بالرشكة والتي تعادل حواىل 15 هكتاراً،‏ حيث تبلغ مساحة
واحة األبا لوحدها 9 هكتارات تزخر بحواىل 500 ‏صنف من الأشجار
والشجريات.‏ وقد قام علي عبد اهلل جمعة اأقدم املوظفني يف الرشكة ويعمل
يف دائرة خدمات الصيانة،‏ بزرع الشجرة رقم 4000 يف واحة املصنع
بحضور الرئيس التنفيذي السيد اأحمد ‏صالح النعيمي،‏ وبعض اأعضاء

area is unpolluted and that the water of
the lake, in which five specifies of marine
life, including fish, turtles and frogs, and
four species of local and endemic birds,
including ducks, geese and water hens,
live, is also safe,” he said. “Alba’s
environmental achievements are many,
and our on-going efforts to make the open
areas environmental-friendly are part of a
programme in which we have made large
strides until we planted the 4,00th tree,”
said the Alba Environment and Industrial
Hygiene Superintendent Sonia Ghareeb.
“We choose the longest serving employee
to do the job, to underline the fact that
everyone at Alba is involved in
environmental protection,” she said.

Metal Production Group hosts
Safety Week
Alba Deputy Chief Executive Mahmood Al Daylami inaugurated the Metal Production Group’s (MPG) Safety Week
in the presence of members of the Executive Management Team and a number of MPG management staff and
employees. The MPG Safety week, which was organised and implemented entirely by MPG employees, is one of
many similar events hosted on a regular basis across the plant to help further develop Alba’s safety culture. “The
Safety, Health and Environment initiatives undertaken by all groups have proved to be directly effective in improving
the work practices of employees due to their participation in such activities,” said MPG General Manager
Mohammed Mahmood. “The Production Group also achieved remarkable success in the SHE week held last year,
and those who are in charge of the event aspire to achieve and add a new accomplishment to the group by
improving and heightening awareness of employees and acquainting them with the surrounding risks and how to
overcome them through different events in line during this year’s programme,” he said. “The timing off this event is
ideal,” said Mahmood. “The event helps underscore the importance of safety, health and environment issues and,
in doing so, contributes significantly to reducing and preventing accidents,” he said. “The activities of this year’s
programme are geared to acquaint employees with the risks surrounding their work environment and how to
overcome them,” said Mahmood. “The organizing committee of the event has also issued a special brochure
featuring all important information which would acquaint employees with their work environment in order to increase
awareness of safety among all,” he said,

اأشهر الصيف،‏ وتقدم كل دائرة ملوظفيها برامج خمتلفة يف جمال السالمة والصحة والبيئة،‏ بالإضافة اإىل اإعداد العديد من الفعاليات
املصاحبة طيلة الأسبوع.‏ وبهذه املناسبة ‏رصح السيد حممد حممود مدير عام النتاج قائالً:"‏ اأثبتت مبادرات اأسبوع السالمة

Alba CEO earns
Toastmasters Award
The Alba Chief Executive Officer, Ahmed Saleh Al Noaimi was presented the Communications and
Leadership Award at the Bahrain Toastmasters Annual Conference (BTAC). It was the first time ever in
Bahrain’s history that an individual outside the Toastmasters movement is honoured with this prestigious
award. The Award recognises Al Noaimi’s far-reaching support for the Toastmasters movement in
Bahrain and acknowledges the efforts he continues to invest in the organisation and the community at
large. It was presented to Al Noami by the BETAC Organising Committee at the annual conference
which was hosted at the Bahrain International Exhibitions Centre and attended by more than 500
Toastmasters representing the various clubs in Bahrain. Alba, which had established the first corporate
Toastmasters Club in the Kingdom, continues, largely due to the continuous support and encouragement
of its CEO, to play a pioneering role in developing and promoting Toastmaster activities and supporting
the local community. “The award recognizes the tremendous support Al Noami has for the Toastmasters
movement as well as its efforts to develop the local community,” said BETAC Chairman and Alba Metal
Production General Manager Mohammed Mahmood. “The success of the Alba Toastmasters Club in
Bahrain as well as its various social activities which includes, for example, support for the inJaz
programme, is due in a large part to the support we have been receiving from Al Noaimi. As a result of
that support, the Alba Toastmasters club has created many other clubs – including a mentoring
programmes that has helped created eight more clubs in Bahrain. We are also heavily involved in the
Crown Prince’s Youth Leadership Programme and, more recently, we have also introduced SpeechCraft
programmes at the Alba to help develop supervisors by making them better communicators,” he said.

UoB Careers Day
The Recruitment Section of Alba’s Human Resources
and Organisational Development Department
participated in the 9th Careers Day that was organized
by the University of Bahrain’s (UoB) Occupational
Counselling Section. Visitors to Alba’s stand were
briefed on the steps which a graduate should take in
order to find the proper job commensurate with his or
her skills and talents. Alba’s participation coincided with
a number of useful lectures related to the employment
method at Alba and the steps a graduate should take in
order to find a job suiting his talents and skills. The
Company’s representatives also focussed on the need
to have self-confidence and patience while seeking
jobs, explained the pioneering role played by Alba in
developing Bahrain’s human resources and outlined
some of the programmes provided by the Company to
university graduates to help them acquire the necessary
experience and knowledge to work in the aluminium
sector. Alba’s participation was in line within the 2008-
2012 strategic plan drawn up by the Executive
Management which focuses on enhancing the
Company’s status as an employee of choice among
top university graduates. Alba HR and OD Manager,
Shaikh Bader Bin Rashid Al Khalifa, praised the event.
“The participation affirms Alba’s keenness to take an
active part in objective activities and the efforts made
to develop the Bahriani community and individuals. We,
at the HR and OD Department find that such projects
are beneficial and useful to the graduates and the
Company at the same time, because the information
we get during participation in the activities of the
Careers Day is important and valuable in helping us
prepare employment, training and Bahrainization plans
on both long and short term.”

Alba mix teams come in the
first and third place
in the raft race
The Alba mix teams came in the first and third place, while the men teams came in the second and
fourth place in the annual raft race that was held at the Al Bandar Resort.
Alba’s annual participation in this event is part of its social involvement in general, and sports in specific.
The charity event is organized by the Rotary Club of Salmaniya.
“Like every year, Alba participating teams achieved outstanding results in all categories,” said Ayoub Al
Salman, the Alba team Captain. “The Alba mix teams (men and women) came in the first and third
place out of nine other participating teams while the men’s teams came in the second and fourth place,
out of 14 other participating teams,” he said.
“Alba participated in all categories, and the participating teams consist of more than 40 participants of
Alba employees, which represent four teams, two for men, and two team (men and women),” said Al
Salman. “All teams succeeded in achieving outstanding results, especially that all participants are very
experienced in this annual charity event, of which we insist on taking a part,” he added.

وتاأتي مشاركة ‏رشكة األبا السنوية يف الفعالية ‏ضمن برنامج الرشاكة الجتماعية بشكل عام والرياضية بشكل خاص،‏ وهي فعالية خريية
ينظمها نادي روتاري السلمانية.‏
وقال رئيس فرق الرشكة اأيوب السلمان:”‏ حققت فرق األبا املشاركة يف جميع السبابقات نتائج مميزة كعادتها السنوية،‏ فقد اأحتل فريق األبا
املشرتك رجايل،‏ نسائي املركز الأول والثالث يف املسابقة مما يعد اإجناز رياضي جديد،‏ من بني 9 فرق مشاركة،‏ وحقق فريقي الرجايل املركز
الثالث والرابع،‏ من بني 14 فريق مشارك يف املسابقة”.‏
واأضاف السلمان:”‏ لقد ‏شاركت ‏رشكة األبا يف جميع فئات املسابقة ويتكون جمموع الفرق املشاركة اأكرث من 40 متسابقا من موظفي ‏رشكة األبا،‏

Alba reaches out to Bahrain’s bikers, conducts a
First Aid training workshop
Members of the Alba Medical Team reached
out to Bahrain’s motorcycling community and
conducted a First Aid workshop specifically for
bikers. The First Aid workshop, designed to
help prepare bikers to deal with emergencies
on location, was conduced as part of a biker
training session organised by the Bahrain
Motorcycle Club (BMC) and hosted at the Al
Bander Resort. The workshop was conducted
in line with Alba’s long-standing commitment to
supporting the local community and included
both presentations on the theoretical aspects
of First Aid as well as hands-on practical
training with life-sized dummies. It was
conducted by Alba Acting Chief Nurse Ebrahim
Al Dimnistani and Alba Nurses Mouusa Abdul
Jabar and Zakareiya Ahmed. “First aid involves
providing preliminary medical care to victims,”
said Al Dimistani. “In an emergency, first aid
can mean the difference between life and
death,” he said. “This basic workshop included
introductions to potentially life saving
techniques including shock therapy, artificial
respiration and CPR. The idea was not to
qualify the bikers to become licensed first aid
providers but to prepare them to deal with
emergencies, to appreciate the critical
importance of first aid and to perhaps interest
tem in taking on a full course,” said Al Dimistani.
“The BMC is doing a stellar job in promoting
rider safety among Bahrain’s bikers and we are
delighted to be able to share our expertise and
help prepare bikers to deal with medical
emergencies both on the road, at home or at
work,” he said. Following the First Aid
Workshop, the Harley Owners Group (HOG)
Bahrain Chapter Safety Officer Samir Habib-
Allah delivered a Road Safety presentation
during which he stressed the importance of
personal protective equipment including
helmets, gloves and jackets as well as
appropriate riding techniques. “Perhaps the
single most important prerequisite to safe riding
is attitude,” said Habib-Allah. “With the right
attitude, bikers are consciously aware of the
risks and play an active role in mitigating them
- but with the wrong attitude towards riding,
they will almost certainly get injured,” he said.

النارية البحريني خالل عطلة نهاية الأسبوع وقاموا بتنظيم
ورشة عمل تدريبية على الإسعافات الأولية خصيصاً‏ لسائقي
الدراجات النارية.‏ وقد مت تنظيم ورشة عمل الإسعافات الأولية
الأوىل والتي مت تصميمها من اأجل اإعداد ‏سائقي الدراجات
الهوائية للتعامل مع احلالت الطارئة يف مكان وقوع احلادث
وذلك ‏ضمن ورشة تدريبية قام بتنظيمها نادي البحرين
للدراجات الهوائية واستضافها منتجع البندر يوم السبت
املاضي.‏ وياأتي تنظيم ورشة العمل التدريبية يف اإطار التزام
‏رشكة األبا املستمر لدعم املجتمع املحلي وشملت عروضاً‏ عن
اجلوانب النظرية لالإسعافات الأولية بالإضافة اإىل تدريب عملي
باستخدام دمى باحلجم الطبيعي.‏ وقام باإدارة الورشة اإبراهيم
الدمستاين القائم باأعمال رئيس ممرضي األبا واملمرضان
موسى عبداجلبار وزكريا اأحمد.‏ ويف معرض تعليقه على تنظيم
هذه ورشة العمل التدريبية،‏ ‏رصح اإبراهيم الدمستاين قائالً:‏
‏“اإن الإسعافات الأولية تتضمن تقدمي العناية الطبية الأولية.‏
وعند حدوث حالت طوارئ،‏ تعنى الإسعافات الأولية الفرق بني
احلياة واملوت.”‏
واأضاف اإبراهيم قائال:”لقد ‏ضمت ورشة العمل الأساسية
مقدمات عن الوسائل املمكنة لإنقاذ احلياة،‏ مبا يف ذلك العالج
بالصدمات والتنفس الصناعي واإنعاش القلب.‏ ومل تكن الفكرة
من وراء عقد ورشة العمل تاأهيل ‏سائقي الدراجات النارية لأن
يصبحوا مسعفني اأوليني مرخصني بل لإعدادهم التعامل مع
حالت الطوارئ واإدراك الأهمية احلساسّ‏ ة لالإسعافات الأولية
ورمبا اإثارة اهتمامهم للمشاركة يف دورة تدريبية كاملة.”‏
واأردف بالقول:‏ ‏“اإنّ‏ نادي البحرين للدراجات النارية يقوم
بعمل رائع يف تعزيز السالمة بني ‏سائقي الدراجات النارية
ونحن نشعر بالغبطة والرسور لأن نكون قادرين على اإرشاك
الآخرين يف خربتنا واملساعدة يف اإعداد راكب الدراجات النارية
يف التعامل مع الأحداث الطبية الطارئة على الطريق ويف البيت
ويف العمل على حد ‏سواء.”‏ وبعد انتهاء ورشة العمل،‏ قدّم ‏سمري
حبيب اهلل مسئول السالمة يف جمموعة مالكي دراجات هاريل
دافيدسون – فرع البحرين-‏ عرضاً‏ عن السالمة على الطريق
اأكد فيها على اأهمية ارتداء معدات الوقاية الشخصية،‏ مبا يف
ذلك خوذات الراأس والقفازات والسرتات الواقية بالإضافة اإىل
اللتزام بطرق السياقة الصحيحة.‏ وقال يف هذا الصدد:‏ ‏“رمبا
اأن اأكرب عنرص هام من العنارص الأساسية للسياقة السليمة
هو الأسلوب الصحيح،‏ فمن خالل الأسلوب الصحيح،‏ يصبح
‏سائقو الدراجات مدركني للمخاطر وبهذا يلعبون دوراً‏ نشطاً‏ يف
تخفيف اآثارها والتقليل منها،‏ ولكن يف حالة اإتباعهم الأسلوب
غري الصحيح يف ‏سياقة الدراجات النارية،‏ فاإنهم يتعرضون
لالإصابات بالتاأكيد.”‏

International Ladies Day
Alba female employees joined women across the
world in celebrating International Ladies Day with
each female Alba employee receiving a gift from the
Executive Management Team. The gift recognises
the important role Alba’s female employees play
alongside their male counterparts in the company’s
success. Alba’s female employees work in various
departments across the plant and are not limited to
office jobs but include roles in the Engineering,
Environment and the Health and Safety departments
as well as the Labs. Many of them also hold senior
positions with the company - including Managers,
Superintendents and Supervisors - and are pivotal
partners in key decision-making processes. Alba’s
celebrated the International Ladies Day in
appreciation of the contributions its female
employees had made to the company’s ongoing
success.

Alba extended its financial support to the Bahrain Table
Tennis Federation by sponsoring the World Juniors
Championship which was hosted in Bahrain in March.
Alba’s BD5,000 sponsorship cheque was presented by the
Alba Chief Executive Ahmed Saleh Al Noaimi, to the
Bahrain Table Tennis Federation Chairman Shaikh Ahmed
bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in the presence of the Alba
Management Accounting Manager Khalid Taher, the Alba
Public Relations Manager Dr. Khalid Bomtaia and the World
Juniors Championship Head of Public Relations Hussain
Moh’d Habeeb. “Alba puts great emphasis on supporting
different sport events and, by extension, supporting the
athletes themselves and we are pleased to be able to
sponsor the World Juniors Championship which will be held
in Bahrain,” said Al Noaimi. “We look forward, through the
cooperation between Alba and the Bahrain Table Tennis
Federation, to enhancing our cooperation with the
community in line with Alba’s long standing commitments
to its corporate social responsibility programme,” he said.

اأستضافت ‏رشكة األبا،‏ وفد جامعة البحرين الشبابي،‏ بعد اأن مت تشكيله موؤخراً،‏ حيث قدم لهم مدير العالقات العامة بالرشكة ‏رشح مفصل عن عمليات النتاج،‏
واخلطط املستقبلية،‏ ومكانتها على الساحة الصناعية والقتصادية حملياً‏ وعاملياً،‏ كما قام الوفد بجولة يف اأرجاء املصنع.‏ وقدم مدير دائرة العالقات العامة
الدكتور خالد جاسم بومطيع ‏رشحاً‏ مفصالً‏ عن تاريخ الرشكة الذي يقارب 40 عاماً،‏ ومدى التاأثري الذي خلفه اإنشاء مصنع لالأملنيوم يف البحرين،‏ حتى

Alba received the recently established University of Bahrain (UoB) Youth Delegation and provided them
with first hand insights into the company’s production processes and its future plans as well as its
contributions - both on the national and international fronts - to economic and industrial developments.
Alba Public Relations Manager Dr. Khalid Jassim Boumtia, also presented the delegation with a detailed
explanation on company’s almost 40-year history and its growth over the years into one of the largest
modern aluminium smelters in the world. Hanan Almalki, UOB Youth Delegations specialists and the
Head of the delegation said “Alba is one of the major companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain that we really
wanted to visit and learn more about it. This will develop university students’ capabilities and skills through
training on the methods of scientific thinking in addressing future issues and qualifying them to hold senior

Alba received a delegation of post graduate students who are studying Environmental Management at
the Arab Gulf University. The delegation visited Alba to gain first hand insight into the company’s award
winning environmental protection programs that earned the smelter local, regional and international
praise and learn about Alba plans for the future. This visit was organized in line with Alba’s long
standing commitment to working closely with both the public and private and educational sectors, to
help contribute to promoting Bahrain’s urban development. “The delegation was offered first hand
insight into the mechanics of Alba’s Environmental Management Systems, its requirements and its
success standards,” said the Alba Environment and Industrial Hygiene Superintendent Sonia Ghareeb.
“Alba is firmly committed to communicating with anyone interested in the environmental performance of
the company and to encourage people from various sectors, especially education, to support
environmental projects and programs that contribute to the preservation of the environment locally and
globally,” she said. Alba Environmental Management System specialist, Ebrahim Ali also made a
presentation outlining Alba’s applied mechanism of activating the Environmental Management System
during which he showed the delegation the different ways in which Alba monitors and evaluates its own
performance and how it uses the data to further improve its environmental performance and reduce its
production costs. The delegation also took a look on the environment laboratory to learn methods of
analysis and control, and visited the Alba oasis to examine the lake and its aquatic life.

لالأستفادة يف جمال املسبك وخدمات املصهر.‏ ويراأس الوفد اأحد موظفي ‏رشكة األبا السابقني بصفة منسق عمليات النتاج املسبك يف مصنع
‏صحار لالأملنيوم،‏ ويتكون الوفد من جمموعتني يف كل جمموعة اأربعة مهندسني،‏ ومشغلني حيث يتعرفون على جميع عمليات تصنيع الأملنيوم

Alba shared its aluminium smelting expertise with a delegation of engineers and operators from the Sohar
Aluminium smelter in Oman. The delegation, led by a former Alba employee, was visiting Alba to learn
about the smelter’s metal production and casting operations. Specifically, the delegation which consisted
of two groups, each of four engineers and operators, was visiting Alba to gain first hand insight into the
smelter’s expertise and its forty-year experience in the industry. “Alba ranks among the world’s most
impressive aluminium smelters and is recognised - around the world - for its exceptionally high quality
production,” said Jaafar Alwatani from Sohar Aluminium. “Over the years, Alba has earned high praise and
recognition from the international aluminium industry - and we, at Sohar Aluminium, are looking forward to
benefiting from their extensive experience and expertise. This, in turn, will benefit both the Kingdom of
Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman by further advancing economic and industrial development in the
GCC,” he said. “The delegation has been training at Alba for two weeks and are very pleased with this
opportunity,” said Alwatani. “We are particularly grateful for the great atmosphere at Alba and the great
facilities provided by the Alba CEO Ahmed Saleh Al Noaimi as well as the management teams in the cast
house and reduction services departments. This, I feel, reflects the spirit of mutual support and cooperation
between our two countries and their people,” he said.

Muneer Ebrahim:
Art is a Means of Highlighting
and Promoting Safety
Muneer Ebrahim, a supervisor at the Line 4 Reduction
Services Department , said that through his art, he has
been able to drive home important messages which aim
at heightening awareness of the importance of safety
among all employees at Line 4, despite their different
languages and their academic standards. He says he
has done so by turning the inanimate walls and tool
kits and cabinets at the Maintenance Workshop to an
information tool to highlight safety issues. Muneer
worked for two weeks during his own free time
making a number of paintings using the caricature
method to highlight safety, using a number of
purposeful subjects which, if followed properly, can
help avoid injuries and Lost Time Accidents. “I have
been keen to make every inanimate cabinet, kit and
wall at the workshop carry a certain message using
different colours and well-known and new cartoon
characters to spread purposeful messages of
high importance to educate employees
and to avoid accidents, without using
traditional methods,” said Muneer.
“The encouragement which I
have received from all the
department’s officers and the
praise and which has been
heaped on me by Alba’s
Executive Management
has been a big incentive
to me to exhibit my
artistic hobby at my
worksite in order to
benefit others from
them. As such, art
becomes one of the
effective and positive
methods of
educating people,
and our company
supports and
encourages such
ideas,” he said.

للتعريف بالسالمة متناولً‏ العديد من املوضوعات الهادفة التي

Suggestion Scheme
Fadhel Mohammed Hussain Haider, a Skilled Auto Mechanic at the vehicle maintenance section, submitted a
suggestion to reuse the cylinder heads of some production vehicles through the utilization of sand-blasting to
remove unwanted residue then placing valves and valve seats successfully using in-house resources. This
process has helped create a significant reduction in the number of new cylinder heads being ordered from the
material management department and optimised the maintenance procedure of this important process. The net
savings for in house refurbished cylinder heads sand blasted and re-used was BHD 38,231.338. In addition,
Abdul Karim Ahmed Mohammed Saleh, who is working as Technician Engineer at the Central workshop, has
proposed a simple hydraulic lifting tool, which does the essential work of lifting the FTM skimming tool from the
assembly. The maintenance team member simply places the tool beneath the assembly and actuates the
cylinder to disengage the FTM skimming tool. This simple solution saves time, effort and is considered as a very
innovate tool. The total saving for the company was BHD 3,340.000

الهامة.‏ وقد بلغ ‏صايف ما مت توفريه نتيجة اإعادة استخدام روؤوس السطوانات املجددة من خالل التنظيف بالرم ‎231/338‎ر‎38‎
ديناراً‏ بحرينياً.‏ كذلك قدم عبد الكرمي احمد حممد ‏صالح،‏ فنياً‏ وؤميكانيكياً‏ يف الورشة املركزية بالرشكة.‏ باإقرتاح جيد يف استخدام
اأداة رفع هيدروليكية بسيطة تقوم بالعمل الأساسي وهو رفع اأداة الكشط اأف تي اأم من املجمع.‏ ويقوم عضو فريق الصيانة ببساطة
بوضع الأداة حتت الآلة وتشغيل الأسطوانة من اأجل فصل اأداة الكشط اأف تي اأم.‏ وتوفر هذه العملية البسيطة كثرياً‏ من اجلهد والوقت
وهي تعترب اأداة مبتكرة حيث اأدت اإىل توفري مايل بلغ اإجمالية للرشكة مببلغ ‎340/000‎ر‎3‎ ديناراً‏ بحرينياً.‏

The foot is something that doesn’t get
much attention unless there is a
problem. Therefore, to avoid possible
injury, it’s important to think about
safeguarding the foot before
undertaking any job.
Workers may be exposed to various
hazardous conditions on the job,
including slippery surfaces, climbing
hazards, handling or working around
heavy equipment and machinery and
working around electricity. These
different working conditions require
safety footwear to protect the foot, and
the worker, from injury.
You can maintain your foot safety and health by
following a few simple guidelines. Here’s how:
1. Wear your protective footwear in the workplace.
2. Wear good quality work socks and change them every day.
3. Wash your feet daily and dry them especially between toes.
4. Ensure your safety footwear is comfortable.
Well-fitted safety footwear should not be uncomfortable and will need very little breaking-in time.
5. Recognize that safety footwear will reduce fatigue and keep you fresher and alert longer.
6. Be aware of the hazards in your workplace. If you have concerns about foot safety, alert your superior.
7. Make sure your shoes fit properly and that you wear appropriate shoes for your workplace.
8. Footwear shall be kept in good condition.
9. When it becomes damaged or contaminated, report it to your supervisor for possible replacement.

القدم هي من أجزاء الجسم التي
ال تحصل على االنتباه إال إذا كانت
هناك مشكلة ما.‏ لذلك،‏ تفادياً‏
الحتمال اإلصابة،‏ من المهم األخذ
في االعتبار حماية القدم قبل
القيام بأي مهمة.‏
قد يتعرض العمال للعديد من
األوضاع الخطرة أثناء تأدية العمل،‏
كاألسطح الزلقة،‏ مخاطر التسلق،‏
التعامل مع أو العمل بالقرب
من المعدات واألجهزة الثقيلة
أو الكهرباء.‏ إن هذه األوضاع
المختلفة تتطلب أحذية السالمة
لحماية القدمين،‏ والعامل،‏ من
التعرض لإلصابة.‏
يمكنك الحفاظ على سالمة قدميك من خالل

From the reduction lines, liquid metal is transported to the casthouse where it is poured into mixing
furnaces where elements such as silicon, magnesium, copper, iron, titanium or boron are added to meet
the customers’ required alloy specifications.
The prepared aluminium is then cast either in solid mould ingots or direct chill (DC) casting machines.
The metal received from the reduction rooms is cast into four different products:
- Standard ingots or T-ingots used for re-melting by other industries.
- Extrusion billet for the manufacture of extruded products, such as window frames and structural supports.
- rolling slab that are used in the production of plate sheet and foil.
- Propertzi ingots that are used as wheel alloys.

السيليكون،‏ املغنيسيوم،‏ النحاس،‏ احلديد التيتانيوم،‏ اأو البورون بحسب املواصفات التي يطلبها العمالء.‏
بعد ذلك،‏ يصب الأملنيوم املعد للسبك يف قوالب ‏صلبة اأو يف اآلت السبك باستخدام التربيد املبارش.‏
