Ha vi ng such a l:J.rgc quantity of new memberships is a great boost to the club, helping<br />
securi ng its longevity.<br />
We al so saw the successful completion of olher awards. Tom Rees, Doug Lucas and Andrew<br />
Robson received their IRS Drivers, which proved to be a considerable benefi t when it came to<br />
training new Bronze Medallion candidates in IR S rescues. Robbo spentlireless hours in the<br />
IRS. both training and driving for exams. His driving was instrumental in the successful<br />
completion of a part 3 exam, which was held in very difficult condit ions.<br />
Congratulations to Eileen and Margaret fo r completing their <strong>Life</strong> Support, Silver Medall io n,<br />
as welt as to Stephen Cox, Doug Lucas and Andrew Robson for completing their IRE<br />
Instructors.<br />

Club Members earned 43 awards this season, which is a great feat and encouraging for the<br />
future. Congratulations to alt award recipients, and once again, sincere thanks to those who<br />
assisted with the train ing.<br />
As a final note, I would li ke 10 recognise previous years' efforts in building and fostering<br />
relationships with examjners from other Clubs, particularly South Narrabeen. We have<br />
certainly reaped the benefits this year - we were able to find examiners for the 43 awards with<br />
relative ease. It is a reciprocal relationship, with both sides benefiting, and we should continue<br />
to build and strengthen such relationships.<br />
