They provide an improved aesthetic over conventional profile emergency/turns, by allowing the use of plates with thumb and emergency turns, or using standard turn and emergency escutcheons. The Cam Adapter is operated by the 6mm x 2mm Turn Bar (A) on chant Thumb Turns – refer Technical, pages 104 – 113. Some brands of profile cylinder locks can be converted with a chant Cam Adapter and are lock specific, refer to chant to confirm suitability for your lock type.
