Pull Handle Back Plates<br />

Pull Handle Back Plates and Strengthening<br />

Plates.<br />

This product is custom designed for applications where back to<br />

back fixing is required, and the ability to provide strengthening<br />

on a narrow stile timber door when a mortice lock is fitted.<br />

These plates are made from 6.4mm thick brass bar. The outside<br />

plate has threaded studs on its back side, with tie-screws<br />

coming through from the inside plate to clamp them onto the<br />

door.<br />

Edge detail as per push plate and lever handle backplate<br />

options. If pull handles are being fitted, the handle style, hole<br />

centres and hole size need to be specified.<br />

Special sizes of plates to suit particular mortice locks may be<br />

required to allow space for the lock to fit between the tie-screws<br />

on the top or the bottom half of the plate.<br />

Plates can be made with pull handles on one or both sides,<br />

and options of double cylinder, cylinder and turn, or <strong>chant</strong><br />

Cylinder/Turn Adapter (refer to page 100)<br />

Custom sizes of plates tailoring individual requirements are<br />

generally widths from 50mm to 75mm and lengths to 300mm.<br />

Specify:<br />

– plate size<br />

– lock type<br />

– handle style and size<br />

– fixing centres<br />

– fixing bolt size of the pull handle<br />

– sketch or drawing of the proposed assembly<br />
