door morticing equipment chant Faceplate Routing Jig 6010 Designed for quick and accurate routing for the lock faceplate and marking of spindle, cylinder, and door furniture fixing holes. Specification • Robust construction • Self centering door clamps with protective face pads • Door clamps hold the router plate square to the sides of the door • Centre block adjustment left to right to obtain perfect parallel alignment of the machined recess with the door faces • Template insert clips into the back plate. It is used to guide a router with a pilot guide on its base. Templates available to suit a variety of standard locks with a 3mm offset to suit a 9.5mm cutter • Special pilot guides can be made to order • Adjustable guides to suit router bases from 110 – 168mm diameter when a template guide is not available. The router guide bars and the templates eliminate the possibility of the router cutter accidentally cutting an oversize recess • Jig attachment bars on the door clamps are used to position the marking jigs accurately • Marking jigs available to mark hole positions for; spindle, cylinder, turn and fixing holes for door furniture, for a variety of standard locks • Light weight and easy to use • Clamps designed for door thicknesses: 30 to 80mm • Cutter diameter recommended – 9.5mm • Jig accepts drill attachment for tubular latches Routing Templates for Faceplate Jig or other chant Hardware Installation Jigs that require templates. Order Template by the code number. When ordering templates for chant accessories specify the accessory part number, preceeded by “6”. i.e. Flush Pull 1401 becomes 61401. Each product may have more than one template option: Template A. Template B. Template C. To cut the standard or primary recess for the body of the accessory, ie. Flush Pull 1401: 61401A. To cut the outer shape of the accessories. ie. Flush Pull 1401 (when it needs to be totally flush mounted): 61401B. Cuts a recess 38 x 100mm. To cut any other functioning recess that may be required, eg. on an Extended Sliding Bolt, the recess for the attaching pin protruding from the rear for the M8 extension rod to fasten to. To order marking jigs: Specify: – Lock type – Door furniture type and lever rose or size/model of backplate To order Routing Templates: Specify: – Lock type/Face plate size, or if chant lock, specify Lock number with a prefix 6., eg. 61003. 116
This series of Jigs complement the Lock Morticing Machine and the Faceplate Routing Jig. The Jigs 6040–6045 are for preparing doors for chant products.
